Funny how some people can’t handle a negative reaction to a band they like as if it’s a personal insult. As if they have some kind of involvement in it’s creation. I suppose that will all change when you finally go through puberty and grow the fuck up.

I don’t care who was involved, that was truly hideous. Is that who Stayte are? I had no idea what to expect. Aye yey yey!!! It sounds as if the members of Blink 182 or one of those pop punk bands was suddenly asked to do something edgy and mildlly industrial (perhaps to drop into the soundtrack of one of them awful Terminator movies). And then went and recorded an album that was their appropriation of what ‘edgy and industrial’ would sound like. But had no idea. About anything. It’s the worst music I’ve heard all year and makes nuRevco sound innovative and experimental.
And yes I agree with voidhead - the artwork was lamentable.

All respect to the people involved in the project and al but yeah, the clips sound hideous to me. Honestly, they make me feel that Sex-O may be the crowning achievement from the lads (and that, IMO, is damned faint praise as Sex-O is a pile o’ dung to me)

This is extremely funny to me as I’ve been playing Final Fantasy IV for the past week now.

I respect that you guys don’t care about what the haters are saying (I’m noticing that a lot more around here lately), but I still think this band is pretty mediocre (the vox especially are annoying).
I just wish people would get over calling something that they don’t like but is still musically sound, skillfully plated and decently produced words like “atrocious”. Just seems like hyperbole has become mandatory when discussing music these days…

Yeah, I think I did go over the top a bit with my reaction (which was a tad kneejerk). After giving it another two listens I can sort of hear where you’re coming from…it does have something going for it.
Not much though. For a supposed “professional” act it needs alot of work. It’s sloppy musically at times and the vocals are dull bordering on painful (a bit like USSA…not that it sounds like USSA as such, but the vocals ruin it in much the same way).
I can’t really see them attracting much of a fanbase outside of small circles to be honest. I found it rather boring and derivative with the odd flash of something better. They need to stop apeing their ‘heroes’ and try and develop a style of their own.
Not sure who I’d recommend them to.
