Thanks for reminding me of the great season the Coyotes had:
• Brett Hull retires 5 games into the season
• Lost our leading scorer Ladislav Nagy to knee surgery halfway through the season
• On Jan. 29, the Yotes blow a 3-2 lead with 2.2 seconds left and lose in overtime. We could’ve closed w/in four points of Edmonton at the time. Instead, we fell back seven, and proceeded to lose five of our next six. That was pretty much the nail in the coffin.
…and Wayne Gretzky had it really rough this year. He lost his mom in December, his grandmother 3 weeks later, then his wife and assistant coach get investigated for that illegal gambling ring in Jersey. Poor guy, you hate to see that happen to anyone.
I’ll still be watching the playoffs, but not sure who I’ll root for. Maybe San Jose - they made a hell of a run at the end of the season just to make the playoffs, then grabbed the 5th seed! Crazy. I’m sure most of my attention will be on the NBA Playoffs, as I once again set myself up for heartache and disappointment by the Phoenix Suns. It’s not easy being a sports fan in AZ! (well, except 2001)

i actually grew up near buffalo and lived there till i was 22. i do however root for the wings in the west and check out games whenever i can. i’m hoping they beat edmonton cause i have tix to game 5 in round 2 (if the game happens).
Speaking of the stanely cup the prodution on the last 2 ministry albums has been utter shit! All that high frequency abuse hurts my sensitive ears!
