HAHA!!! Normally I’d agree with Grumpy on the drummer topic (all replaceable, just find one competent) but I’m siding with DJPON3 . . . . Joey totally SUCKED ASS at the show in LA too.
It was the only time I remember thinking someone actually SUCKED in Ministry, haha.
And, yeah . . . I’ll be at the ANAHEIM show ready to get radical with my homies.
Hey, remember when Al and Joey were going to start a new side project together? I think they were calling it “Alien vs Predator” or something (I assume they’d have changed it after legal threats from the producers of the movie).
Of course nothing came of it, but now that they’re hanging out again, I wonder if either of them will remember.

Maybe he will remember, and talk about how they’re doing that again, but then the twist being that they not release anything until at least fifteen years later when a record comes out with that name but instead of Joey, it’s Sammy and Rick Nielsen.
Al will make him sing all the “old” Ministry songs that he hates to sing. He did that on the 2008 tour.
In Al’s book he gave his reasons why, too many bad memories associated with his past work. which as a ministry fan is disappointing but as a human, i can understand.
Show was pretty good. New songs sound great live. Same damn setlist as Anaheim. Ventura crowd was lame as fuck. Zero movement until they got to the “old” songs. Bunch of old fuckers.
Probably happens all the time. What’s stopping Ministry from playing sets that are like new/old/new/new/old/new/old, etc.? Wouldn’t practically everyone prefer that?
Yeah, he just uses the same damn formula for ever tour.
4 new songs then 4 W era songs then 4 old songs. Then encore.
And the W era songs are mostly the same and the 4 old songs are exactly the same.
It’s absurd.
This was easily the most disappointing Ministry experience I’ve ever had. Even the Merch was lazy, which kinda was the capper. In the past (for any concert, really) if the concert sucked the merch is usually pretty good. Or if the Merch sucks (Iron Maiden and Ghost last summer) then the performance is usually good.
