Let’s lynch the landlord indeed. Nothing but a hypocrite.
So you think he too owns slums and he’s doubling up the rent on his tenets Cos the building’s condemned and they’re gonna help him buy City Hall?
or perhaps that those same slums that he (doesn’t) owns that There’s rats chewin’ up the kitchen Roaches up to his knees, and when you Turn the oven on, it smells like Dachau, yeah Til the rain pours thru the ceiling?
Cause calling him a hypocrite while referencing that song would suggest your making a direct comparison.
cause, yea, I could see biafra being a hypocrite too if this were the case. [:|]
Give a silly school yard insult instead and you’re likely to get one back.
How about you come up with one of your own instead of copying exactly what was said to you. Oh yeah, no creativity or individuality…
I said nothing about Biafra being a sellout. I have no issue what so ever that he is a successful business man. In fact I’m glad he is successful in business. I wish everyone would enjoy success in business. I think it rather American.
What’s your def of success? As I’ve already mentioned his label operates at a loss
Why do I think Mr. Biafra is a hypocrite?
- He rants about “corporate-serving rodents” yet runs a record label and ripped off his now former bandmates. In 2000 he was convicted of fraud for that very thing. In 2003, the California Court of Appeals upheld the 2000 verdict unanimously. And yes I’m aware of the whole Levis biz.
Runs a label at a loss. Did NOT rip his band mates off. before the law suit The AT label accountant had found that all of the DK members were behind on royalty payments (including Biafra). Checks were cut, everything was square. Enter the Levis campaign. Biafra said no. the other DKs were pissed and then here comes the lawsuit for “failure to promote.” That’s what he was found guilty of. That ruling also set dangerous case law. So if you have a product and you don’t think the company involved in selling your product isn’t doing all they can to promote your product you can sue them for however much you think you’re owed. Once the other DKs yanked the catalog away from Biafra they tried to peddle Holiday Inn Cambodia back to Levis, who by this time, were no longer interested.
-One of the planks for his ill fated run for San Francisco mayor was to have businessmen wear clown suits. I haven’t see Jello with a big red nose and giant floppy shoes. I suppose his own over the top ranting is a reasonable substitute.
You think he is a businessman? this one is weak, even by your feeble minded standards.
If you are going to run for office, then at least be serious about it or stop ranting about politicians doing stupid crap.
The fact that you do not understand the parallel in his campaign to “real” campaigns, again, is not surprising
-A general tendency to rail against the very capitalist system, while certainly not perfect by any means, that provides his living.
So, you agree with Gunnar’s assessment? in order for him to not be a hypocrite in a capitalist society he must be poor. how very high school of you. How effective would he be as a homeless person? the answer is not very. You have play by the rules set forth within the society. rallying for change to those rules is not a sign of hypocrisy.
