This is probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen on Youtube. Looks like it was uploaded by Groovy Mann.
Dude…score…1980…damn. Must be the earliest video of Al on stage.
How cool… can’t wait to get home and check this out! Whats the song?
Too Much Soft Living 1980
Cools, so they must have played live a few times then I guess? I only have the too much soft living LP… found it for like $5 with the shrink wrap still around it (opening was slit so record could come out) at a 2nd hand joint, pretty happy with that!
wow. al looks so cute! always nice to see al in his early days. when he was young and still had his own hair!
Frankie was a full-on drag-queen!
I had no idea!
I wonder if they were intimate.[tongue]
what do YOU think?
the answer, from someone there, is a nod of yes.
They looked pretty close, hehe… so I imagine ol’ Groovy has the whole recording… I wonder if he would trade, haha… probably not completely out the question… come on Groovy, 27 years later… special affect live DVD/cd release of Too Much Soft Living… with Mood Music and Men In Motion (is that what it was called?) as bonus trax… yeah!
What does mood music/mim sound like? Pretty much the same as TMSL? Al only played on TMSL right? and live obviously.
Mood Music was an EP. No Al on that one. They also had a 7" called headaches and a flexidisc release called empty-handed (or perhaps the other way around).
Men In Motion was a Blackouts EP before Paul joined.
Now if only some kind soul would upload the Blackouts Idiot video or some live stuff…
Ah, I knew men in motion was in my head for some reason, haha…
There was a video for idiot? Man… don’t tell me things like this [:P]
I wonder if band members (from any band) have a box of old unreleased crap sitting in their garage or something gathering dust… or if said released stuff ends up being thrown away by the wife, or destroyed in a fit a’la with sympathy masters…
I fu&%in love it!
Is it me or have we seen ALOT of old/rare Ministry & related surfacing the past 2yrs?
Example- I searched for years for any Ministry live material pre 87. Several times checking out the setlist for the 86 & 82 shows in the tour section on this site when it was fairly fresh(if i remember it correctly) wondering when the hell i´d get hold of some audios.
(the internet made it possible of course)
As several(?) here have already said: What we need is a visual of any 1986 show!
the youtube post was authorized. and frank’s so pretty it hurts.
there are some blackouts “movies” out there in the hands of the individual band members. black and white.

and go figure, that’s the easiest shit to get. nothing obscure from 1986-1989 anymore to grab, which is a shame because im really curious.

Is that a challenge
I’ll challenge you to that! Go find me a video from 86 or 89 [:P]
Well, perhaps not vids, but there’s a couple more goodies I’ll be sharing shortly. Trust me… you’ll be pleased.
I see, looking forward to it! Always nice to hear some new goodies [:)]
oh boy oh boy!!
