Anyone seen this lineup and excited about it? Melvins and Monster Magnet are doing it for me, also Primus, QOTSA and High on Fire. weird festival, lots of bands you didn’t know existed, lots you wish didn’t, ie. Sevendust, maybe even Third Eye Blind. Probably seems fucking stupid to all you in USA or Europe, but we generally don’t get decent festivals here.
Primus is always worth seeing.
Most of those bands are pretty gay. Still cool to know that theres a festival where you can see Maiden, QOTSA, Slayer and Primus all on the same bill. LOL at Monster Magnet still being around

Yeah, exactly, we have never had anything like that here since I’ve been going to festivals.
And I won’t hear anything bad about monster magnet! Dave might be fat now, and he might also perform in front of an industrial fan to blow his hair up, and all the old good members might be gone (Except Ed Mundell), but they can still rock, and still do the old songs justice. Plus they had a massive influence on heaps of current stoner/heavy/freakout bands like Coments on Fire and Boris so show some respect!

That wasnt a diss. I’m just suprised they’re still around. Havent heard anything from them since they appeared on the dracula 2000 soundtrack
Monster Magnet are shit. Their last shows in Melbourne were an overpriced disappointment. I didn’t go, but many friends I know can vouch for this.
And they put on one of the worst live shows I’ve ever seen.
Its a great line-up was thinking of combining it with a visit to my sister in Sydney but its looking unlikely now unless i get a badass bonus anytime soon.
Got Bloodstock (behemoth, Devin Townsend,Opeth,Fear Factory etc etc) next week anyhow [cool]
