I’m a minute in…not into it
Hope this isn’t considered the single.

It’s forgettable.
never got into that seattle carp.
Me neither.
Their salmon is pretty good though.
Bought the album.
Not exactly a stellar comeback. But it’s no dud either. Some of the tunes on offer elicit a great big “meh” and nothing else. But there are a few slight gems like Bones Of Birds and By Crooked Steps.
Too few of the tracks really stand out though. And it really isn’t that heavy.
All in all it’s a solid 3 star album.
Boring as fuck.
A ‘C’ grade Down on the Upside. 4th or 5th song (not even pushed to find out) was good but the rest…
Don’t buy. Spotify/torrent whatever… save your money for a few pints instead.
Like Olsen said. There’s a few moments where the album shines, but for the most part, it’s pretty average. A lot of it has to do probably with the fact that Cornell can’t sing like he used to anymore. His voice is shot to shit. He sounded awful in Audioslave as well. There was a bootleg of their reunion show, and he seemed on form on a few songs, hitting the high notes. On here, he just couldn’t do it.
At least he isn’t making shitty pop albums anymore though.
He lost his voice sometime during Audioslave, a bummer but everyone gets old. It’s weird because Faith No More was the best concert I’ve seen up till now and those guys are in their 40’s, and Patton still has the range he did when he first started.
Some guys get all the luck.
Its amazing that Patton can still do it. But I had originally thought Cornell blew his.voice out during Audioslave. But in 2010, he sounded in full form live. Maybe he pushed out what he had left. Dunno. But its gone again. Album is very average, otherwise. That could partly be to them “playing it safe” musically. There are a few good songs in there though. But I won’t be raving about it to my pals anytime soon.
