Took me a little while to get into the badmotorfinger album. I started with Upside and worked my way down. It was a change of pace after the later two albums. Even bigger change of pace when I finally got around to hearing Ultramega OK.

‘Face Pollution’, ‘Somewhere’, ‘Head Down’ & ‘Half’ are Ben Shepherd songs. There was at least one on Down on the Upside too I think.
That’s another thing I liked about Soundgarden too. All 4 (since Louder Than Love anyway) were important and competent members who pitched in their bits.

I wouldn’t call it sonic poop but I never liked Soundgarden because of Chris Cornell’s vocals although I think he and everyone else in the band is talented. Just not my cup of team…the only “Seattle” band I got into at that time was Nirvana which is funny because I couldn’t stand the music or Kurt Cobain’s vocals on the first few listens due to an embarrassing affinity for gangster rap (Eazy-E, NWA, Too Short, haha) at the time.
Tad was the best Seattle band at that time, hands down. The only Soundgarden track I really like is, embarrassingly enough “Black Hole Sun”. Totally MOR radio shit, but I digs it all the same.
the original bass player was in Truly w/ the first Screaming Trees drummer.

The late god of rock n roll El Duce stole my drink after their set opening for RevCo back in the day. Partied with those jokers after the show. Duce was hysterical.
yeah, courtney love killed that guy cause he was gonna tell everyone how she killed kurt so she killed him to keep him quiet. I saw this on the teevee so I know it’s true! plus el duce is dead so it adds up… a little bit.

I’ve seen Kurt and Courtney too, El Duce was an idiot. But wait… maybe thats why Courtney hired him, because no-one would beleive him if he tried to sell his story… I just blew my own mind man, THE PRESIDENTS A DEMEEEECRAAATT.
