For years, I never made the connection between Depeche Mode and Pink Floyd. DM sampled and looped the echoing bass guitar in the beginning of Floyd’s “One Of These Days” for the Violator track, “Clean”.

It actually wasn’t sampled, but Alan Wilder admitted that he basically borrowed that same idea/technique to get that sound.

I just saw that, I’m subscribed to that channel too 
As much as I’m a geek about sound design , I feel cheated by these presets used with no creativity behind them, oh well
Didn’t someone here post a folder full of samples of the default Fairlight sounds?
