I was listening to the only acoustic Ministry track I have left on my pc (since the old HD crashed) “Here They Come” and damn I forgot how good it was. This is from one of those benefit shows. So I was wondering if somewhere down the line in the future, you plan to upload this concert track by track like you did with the show from '90? I think it’d be a good idea and a different side of Ministry too [cool] anyone agree?
the bootleg of these two (i think) shows is widely available on soulseek. plus, the quality sucks. one track (friend of the devil) was released officially however. and it’s sweet.
as for songs of the week, i’d suggest the “twitch demos” bootleg. track by track.

That’s where the one you’re listening to now comes from. Don’t think I’ll be doing a track by track upload though. It would be rather boring if I uploaded 7 takes of I See Red in a row and then uploaded 6 takes of No Devotion.
how about sharing it on slsk then? (yea i know you have it and all this rare shit comes from you) and as for song of the week, upload only the best takes or something.
edit: oh, you already started the uploads… sweet!
awesome!! thanks, I love stuff from the Twitch era [:)]
Bisquit: besides the version on Twitch, the two on 12 Inch Singles, and the live one you uploaded a while ago… are there any other versions/remixes of All Day?
It’s one of my all time favs, and I’d love to hear more versions of it…

Well, All Day was only done live on the 1984, 86, and 87 tours, so those are the only versions other than the studio ones. The 87 version is the one I had up for download a while back, so you’ve got that one. The 86 live version is pretty much the same as the Twitch version, but live. I may throw one of those performances up for download eventually. The 84 one was pretty different than any of the others. There were several samples that were added and it sounds a bit different musically as well. Unfortunately, of the 3 versions I have, not a one is of good enough quality to put up for download. The 12/20/84 version is mono and really poor quality. Ther 12/14/84 version is from the same show as the recent I’ll Do Anything For You download, and suffers from the same bass problems only moreso. It’s from the unlistenable part of the show. The Minneapolis 84 one would be perfect, except the taper flipped his tape in the middle.
how about since you’ve got a new 90 min tape another version of “the eyes of christ” and by the way could some one print out the exchange between al and bill at the end of “red” i can bareley here it since i’m at the librrary and children are loud idiot’s[crazy]
No Eyes Of Christ on it, sorry. This rehersal is from early in the tour. Best I can tell, they added it to the setlist while on tour.
BTW: For some reason, Rieflin is turned up a lot higher in the mix than Al. He’s pretty easy to make out, but I really can’t tell what Al’s saying.
Do the practice sessions of Halloween from the Twitch demos sound any different from the mixes we heard so far? Are there any other good sounding live or demo versions of Cold Life out there? Maybe even one of the With Sympathy demos from the Twitch demos Tape? Aside from that, Cold Life and Halloween have been my most frequently listened to Ministry songs for ages and I’d love to hear more versions of them as well.
Halloween from the Twitch demos - not really all that different from what I remember. I don’t even really think there’s a full take on there.
Cold Life - don’t have any demos, but I could probably scrape up a cool live version.
With Sympathy demos - Other than the version of Revenge, which already went up for download, these really sound pretty much the same as the album versions. She’s Got A Cause goes for about 10 seconds longer befor the fade-out. That’s about it.
what’s the best live version of “Halloween”? Is the 1984 live version more true to the original studio version? I’ve only seen the 1986 version from the Toronto radio show floating around.
any live revco 38 tracks?
… use a tape recorder and remember …
You know what I would actually like to get for a song of the week? How about some Mind demos? Are there any? I’d like to hear how some of those songs started out. Really. Like… maybe… I dunno… something just straight out differant… how about Cannibal Song? Any live versions or demos or that that anybody know of? Or any of the other “less than popular” songs from that album (Dream Song, Faith Collapsing. Never Believe, etc)?
Just not Test. I think that’s the only song by Ministry that I actually DESPISE. And that one live version that was up a while back was quite enough to re-iterate that sentiment.
Peace!

Cannibal Song?(Dream Song, Faith Collapsing. Never Believe, etc)?
these are the best off the TMIATTT along with so what! :)))

that live version sucked balls.
as for the studio song - i like it, i like the sound of guitars n bass n drums but vox are pretty mediocre there…
38 - Sorry, until I can get a live recording from the Revco 1988 tour, no live version of 38. I think that’s the only tour they played it. They did it on YGDSOAB, but I can’t exactly put that up as a download.
Mind demos - Sorry. I don’t have any. I get the impression that most of that stuff got released as sideprojects. If anyone has any, please let me know.
Halloween - Hmmm, Ithink the Minneapolis 84 version might be good enough to put up. Perhaps it’ll go up before too long. I’ll check it out.
How’s the version of “Nature Of Love” from Minneapolis? I don’t think I’ve heard that song live.

It features more synth than the recorded version thus reminding me of Frankie Goes To Hollywood !
The quality sucks though unfortunately…
