Here’s a thing I’ve been working on. It’s not done. I do all the instruments. It’s just supposed to be entertaining. Hope it is.

Hey man, that wasn’t too shabby. I liked your samples but don’t envy you for how many hours you probably had to plunk yourself down in front of the christian broadcasting network in order to get them. I personally would’ve liked to hear a few more samples in there, but I understand why you didn’t put more… Didn’t want to saturate the song. Not bad at all, man. Good job!

Thanks all. Thanks grumpy, I kinda think I’d like some more samples too, I’m not too sure where to go with that. I’m going to try to get a buddy of mine who is a blues singer to lay down some soulful vocals, if he can’t- or won’t, I’m going to fill in some spaces with more samples.

Side note. A lot of you guys should know that preacher. It’s the one and only Robert Tilton from the 90s. Completely evil and insane.

The bass thing is kinda of funny. I don’t think I have more than 20 hours of playing bass in my whole life, but I got one to record with, and I’ve having a blast with that. Maybe I should have taken to the bass when I was learning how to play instead of the guitar.

Not too shabby. Man I’m incredibly lazy when it comes to music production. I have about a dozen unfinished projects I don’t think my heart’s in it anymore.

thanks dude. fuck it, just start dicking with it. hell, that thing is one riff for 5 mins, far from anything complex. mess ups all through. fuck it. i’m hoping to keep getting better with the more i do. i’m hoping that the better i get the easier it will get. i’ve had a blast past few years getting back into recording.

totally understand though. you gotta have a drive to do it. make no mistake, sometimes i don’t feel like fucking with it and i sit on my couch wondering why i’m watching TV when i’ve got all those toys. but shit. maybe the easier it gets the more ill do it. who the fuck knows. music is just fun. so is the gear.

Thanks! Yes, I did everything at home. Very simple though, just a midi keyboard and guitar.
