I scored this on Blu-ray for Christmas and it is friggin hilarious!
Better than Blue Harvest even.
I thought it was awesome how the Hoth ice monster was Cookie Monster.
Seriously though I was watching this by myself and laughing out loud.
Another great part was when the Star Destroyer was shooting out probes in the beginning and Elroy Jetson pops out! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I didn’t like Blue Harvest much - it was basically just a straightforward Star Wars adaptation with a few gags. So if this one’s better I might check it out.

It is however just Empire Strikes Back with lots of gags thrown in.

I for one am looking for to the Family Guy Return Of The Jedi.
I was never a huge Family Guy fan. I thought it was funny when it first came out because it seemed novel, but that wore off.
Too much “bro” humor and obscure references etc. that are meant to seem clever but really are just a gimmick.
That American Dad show is atrocious and I can’t believe I’ve heard they’re now starting a third show.
American Dad is better than Family Guy IMO… although I do still like both.
The Cleveland show is the new one, I’ve seen a few episodes, I think it’s pretty good as well. I was pretty dubious at first… but pleasently surprised.

Even though I really love Family Guy, I have to agree here.
Blue Harvest was almost devoid of laughs after the first 10 minutes. Alot of it was actually embarassingly awkward and straight laced.
Was expecting something really over the top and offensive.
I’m surprised that Seth has been able to maintain his level of comedic output. I mean he’s got 3 cartoons plus all the movies. I think this is the 4th family guy movie right? I mean I’m sure he’s got writers but I know he contributes alot to the shows. Hey money in the bank though right?

although the family guy episode with the disabled Olympics was pretty damn funny. wheel chair long jump was hysterical! but I’ve seen maybe 6 episodes over all and one of American Dad and it’s about .01 funnier than dane cook.

I dislike Family Guy and its related shows. I think it is a poor format for comedy. Really quick and unrelated skecthes. No effort goes into a narrative. All effort goes into jokes (from the ones I’ve seen: some were good, many were dull) and they then try to squeeze them into an episode.
Pass.
Family Guy and American Dad are alright when Seth maintains some kind of plot and doesn’t use the show to whore out his singing voice. I get it, man. You like Frank Sinatra. Cool. Movin’ on.
