Prong’s upcoming remix album “Power Of The Damn MIXXXer” will see a May 12th release date through 13th Planet Records/Megaforce. The outing will see remixes of the bands material done by the likes of Greg Puciato of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Rob Caggiano of Anthrax, Jon Clayden of Pitchshifter and many more.
Some samples from Ministry’s soon to be released posthumous live album “Adios Puta Madres” have been made available online here. www.myspace.com/ministrymusic. The outing will see a March 31st release date through Thirteenth Planet/Megaforce
So basically all Al wants to do is hover over other people putting out posthumous remixes and remixes of crappy Prong albums? I’m quite disappointed.
i wonder why would they record it to a fucking FIFTY-SIX-CHANNEL pro-tools?
i mean come on, 56 channels for a live recording?
56 channels is not that excessive if you were doing a proper live recording, a pain in the ass maybe, but not unrealistic for a commercial propostition. and fyi pro tools doesn’t do infinite tracks, it has different specs for LE, HD and the toolkits, though i haven’t had a proper look at version 8 yet (and i think that’s slightly different). plus if you’re using a venue system there’s even more options, since that’s a dedicated live system.
For those on itunes, I left a “nice” review for the live album (which I just downloaded). Read if you like, but I should warn ahead of time. It’s nothing unexpected and very truthful.

Why did you even get this? I have no interest in live versions of these songs, so I’m just skipping it. You obviously have no interest either but you bought it anyway?

No. I even said that I had downloaded it. And what possible interest in the disc that I did have, was shattered when he decided to completely cut out the old songs, and even the covers. I expressed my disinterest in the newer material, so I figured a review was in order for the blind. It’s a half-assed cash grab from cover to tracklisting. I was actually hoping for the burton stuff and the FOUR classics. So yeah, it’s a piece of shit, so why not make it known? It IS a fan review afterall!
I see where you’re coming from, but we’ve known the tracklisting for awhile - which is why I’m ignoring it. I probably would’ve gotten the Burton Bell songs just for the novelty of his vocals, but without them this record is almost beneath my notice.
apparently it got leaked couple of days back… 67 minutes. weird, coulda stick anther 2 songs in there for remaining 12 minutes on cd.
yeah i listened to it, pretty boring… curious mixing though, some samples are just TOO loud. otherwise very straightforward live album with nothing new.
