sadly, I’ve fallen out of the jesu loop lately (and alot of music for that part)
fall is upon us, winter is approaching, and damnit, it’s jesu season.
the latest I’ve followed was the silver e.p. I’ve seen some talks here and there about some other stuff. conquerer, is that the latest album? is there a way to get the copy with the 2nd disc of the two tracks?
what’s new since then?
conqueror is the last full LP so far, although he’s just released “Pale Sketches”, which I think is a bunch of outtakes and such…
Conqueror was a big disappointment to me but Pale Sketches is much better. A lot more electronic than most Jesu stuff.
Conquerer is the last official full album of new material.
Since then you’ve missed the jesu/eluvium split 12" with 3 new jesu tracks. The Lifeline ep comes out later this month on Hydrahead but is out in Japan. It has also leaked and has 4 new tracks. 1 with Jarboe of the Swans singing. The japanese version of this has 2 exclusive remixes. And then there is “pale sketches” which is available to order direct from Justin’s website. It features 8 unreleased tracks, mostly b sides. This started shipping last week but is around online as well. I dig it. 4 or so instrumentals and a song or two that sound more like Boards of Canada than Jesu.

the conqueror japanese bonus tracks were the same as the Sun Down/Sun Rise 12" which is prolly gone now, but the are ‘around’ on the net.

just saw that justin has 5(!! ) releases planned for final. final’s my favorite project of his. this man never stops. it amazes me. I think Al needs to go back to wearing his godflesh shirts, or maybe this time around, jesu shirts, and dig into what justin’s doing.

I’m going to be placing my orders for pale sketches, lifeline, and conqueror (hopefully with sunrise/sunset) next month. jeez, to think at a time I had the heart ache ep ordered express shipping when it was released in the uk. a bit up to my neck with bills etc. these days.
