They made it the cover story, which is fucking cool and a first for me. There’s a little interview with Richard Patrick from Filter I did in there too.
Hope you dig it.
Oh, and the Filter one is decent since I got a fair bit out of Patrick about Reznor…
Good reads, thanks!
Cool interview, thanks!
Good interview!
The more I read interviews with AJ, the more I think he’s not purposely full of shit all the time. I think he really believes what he says, but his mouth is faster than his brain. He comes up with ideas or makes decisions and then lets them out before he’s thought things through at all.
I’ve got friends like that. Every vague plan for a project or whatever gets sent out into the world as fact, and it almost always turns into nothing. It makes them look like flakes or liars.

This is a big problem for many musicians. I’ve learned the value of keeping a lid on things. Appearing passive whilst being active isn’t a bad thing, but doing the opposite means you give a fuck about what people care. Probably too much of a fuck. The saddest part is that those kinds of people never change, because their friends rarely call them out on it.
With the article, I’m glad they didn’t edit out the part where I called Al out about dismissing Angie and Paul. But, it was good of Al not to hang up on me when I put that claim to him about band members not getting paid. Overall, he was one of the best people to interview, a close second to Alice Cooper.
Good interview!
And I liked the Filter one too.

Cheers. Rich is probably one of the funniest bastards I’ve interviewed. Could’ve chatted for way longer.
