So I got the S/T Jesu...

I was at Amoeba In Hollywood and as I said, “if it’s cheap I’ll buy it” S/T was 4.99 used (I’ll break a 10 for that) and Conqueror was 13.99 New. SO I went with S/T cause everyone (for the most part) here said that album is the best.
So i’ve listened to it and It’s ok. Not ready to swing from Jizzy’s nuts over it. but there are elements that I do like. like, how you don’t notice the missing lyrics. I would say that it sounds like music textures rather than music songs. It’s obvious he’s trying to use the mood of the music to substitute for the lyrics that aren’t there. Probably give it a few more spins and see if anything jumps out at me but then it will probably get shelved away as one of my many trophies. certainly a better offering (style wise) from what I heard of conqueror
Late,

I kinda prefer the stuff after Silver over the s/t and the ep before it.

Jesu lyrics, just like Godflesh lyrics before them, were excellent due to their minimalism. I’m glad JKB hasnt changed that with Jesu.

i love JKB’s words, that’s why i bother to work out the lyrics if they aren’t in the booklets. I’ve done a lot of the work that’s on godflesh.com and here on afra’s jesuband.org page.

that aside grumpy:

i’m glad you did. it’ll grow on you.

Jesu are superb.

Anyone who thinks otherwise shall surely DIE!
