WOW. that fucker is fast! oHgR is keeping up tho.
awesome.
thanks guys.
ps - to me persoally, this was the peak of the whole thing. (1990) pigface, ministry, cocks, SP, the whole thing. I miss those days.

Yeah, arguably, 89-91 may have been the summit of it all (though in regards to Puppy, their pinnacle was ViviSectVI, in my opinionā¦I know there are some die-hard TDP fans that would debate me on that). Certainly, the Mind tour (which is still my favorite Ministry tour), and the subsequent notorious RevCo and the first Pigface tour make a good argument for a classic era.

ogreās vocals are brutal on this bootleg - sounds good. the omaha and the meriville version have better audio quality but ogre sounds the best on this one to me.
wonder who messed up on the tech with the guitar 26 seconds in [laugh]
one more thing, which dates are correct? the omaha bootleg show (the one gila uploaded) and this recently posted have the same dates on the track info. 1-13-90
The best verision of this song Iāve ever heard.
Brutal song by ohGr, fast⦠niceā¦
wish I was there.
Glad you guys like it. Now that most of the unreleased songs have gone up, Iām trying to go back and put up some of the best live versions I can find like this and Crumbs from 99. Oh, and more Revco.

Omaha was 2/13/90. Boston was 1/13/90.
Hah, Ogre sounds possessed on this takeā¦good track!
Gotta love how Ministry sometimes ādouble timesā songs. Hero live, and now this version of Smothered Hope. Glad Ogre manages to keep up with the ferocious pace.
Great track, thanx bisquitodoom.
iām probably the only one who doesnāt like this version (and meriville one too) cuz ogre is like barking the verses, not singing. i like burning inside single live version the most.

Agree 100%. This was Ministry and the offshoots at their finest!
Same here Gila, its kinda interesting that they play that song as fast as they can and its even more interesting that Ogre actually keeps tempo to it, but theyre totally overkilling the song by doing it. The version on the singles box thingy truly is the best version. Bitching song.
āLifeās just up, down, wroooong!ā
I like this version. Iām always interested to hear guests from these times. It is a faster than the others which is a good thing.
