Slow grinding/crushing music recommendations

Revisited Filth Pig recently and am looking for more music like ‘Filth Pig’ and ‘Lava’, that slowed down grinding/crushing sound that makes the listener feel like he/she is being gradually ground into dust one centimeter at a time. Thanks in advance.

Pick up the remastered 2 disc edition of Godflesh’s “Streetcleaner” that drops tommorow. Also pick up “Songs Of Love & Hate” by Godflesh.

Melvins “Maggot”…early Swans will destroy you too.

Sade is great slow grind music!

I’d nominate Godflesh’s ‘Love is a Dog From Hell’ as the best grind song I’ve heard but it might be too fast for others. Either way Godflesh are kings. jesu’s ‘Jesu’ is a grind masterpiece that manages to be melodic as well.

Don’t forget jesu’s “Heartache” EP…that’s incredible too.

Love Is A Dog From Hell OWNS!!!

Neurosis - Times Of Grace

Swans - Cop/Young God/Greed/Holy Money compilation

Moss - Sub Templum

Greymachine - Disconnected

Sunn O))) - Monoliths And Dimensions

Nadja - Radiance Of Shadows

Nadja - Skin Turns To Glass

Skullflower - Vile Veil

Godflesh owns this category.

one band that I liked back in the early 90’s was Dead World.
You also can’t go wrong with early Pitchshifter.

diSEMBOWELMENT

Band from Melbourne in early 90s.

Khanate and Godflesh took a lot of their ideas.

I’m not kidding. Look them up on youtube.

Godflesh
Christdriver
Halo [cool]
Melvins
'90-'96 Paradise Lost

Isis - Oceanic

UFOMAMMUT, Especially ‘Godlike Snake’ and ‘Snailking’ I am not kidding, these guys do the slow grinding psychedelic metal thing like no-one else.

Also, if you have never heard Sleep’s ‘Dopesmoker’, get into that.
