SLAB is back

Steve Dray’s SLAB blog. He is kind enough to offer most of their recordings for free download and also blogs about SLAB’s history. His posts are quite interesting, the blog is worth checking out.

And the great news is that they are working on new material!

Who is slab?

SLAB was a band active in the late 80s. They had a similar style to Godflesh/Head Of David and are considered to have been an influence on the likes of JKB, James Plotkin, Stephen O’Malley etc. You should check out their album Descension.

there was 2 pack cd release of Flux (Plotkin) and Slab! at some point for really cheap , i think mine was 7 or 8.99.

I didn’t know about the blog, thought they were long toast by now.

The music in the second video is ok, but I can’t get into the vocalist.
