Sister Machine Gun

Anyone still listen to these guys, anymore? The later stuff. I heard one song where the chorus goes “to hell with you…” or something - what is that?

Anyhow, I bring this up as I’ve met the drummer for SMG several times at a local club here and went to their BBQ over the weekend. They were all there. Very cool, decent guys.

Interesting to note, but Reznor caught up with them when nin played Chicago.

That song would be called, “To Hell With You”.

Their stuff is pretty cool sometimes. I should check out more, it’s been awhile.

Metropolis was really the last album of theirs that was really good. If you’re looking try try more stuff from Chris, try the 7.0 album and maybe the 6.6 EP. Definitely skip 5.0 and 6.0. Or you could dig up the fan compilation that has some of the old, unreleased stuff on it. It’s pretty good as well.

“to hell with you” is a downloadable mp3 on amazon.com along with a bunch of other tracks.

(if this doesn’t work for some reason just go to amazon, search for sister machine gun, click on the first album u see, and go down to the mp3 section and click “view all downloads by this artist”).

all of the mp3s are from stuff 2000 and newer i think.

i gave up on them after i heard “revolution”.

Metro…is a great cd…that’s about all i like from Chris.

I saw them open up for KMFDM…

wow i havent been around in ages.

Sister machine gun… I used to love them. then chris randall started putting out a bunch of crap. i lost intrest. oh well. ill have to check them out again sometime.

I kinda lost track of SMG after “Metropolis,” but their latest one “Influence” is actually pretty good! A return to form and the quasi-industrial sound they were sporting back around the “Burn”/“Metropolis” era. I’d recommend it…
