Talented or not, I just think that their collaboration didn’t work out well. Never heard any of his material, only test, so my opinion of him otherwise is very limited.
well KRS One was a pioneer and very talented but that didn’t make the song he did with REM any good…
woah, woah, woah, i want everyone who said something disparaging about ‘test’ to go and listen again. Fuck, actually, maybe i have no taste, plus i’ve only known about this album/band since about '99, you can all choose to be haterz, but i really appreciate this track. To me its a kind of parody on inspirational materials made for school kids by adults. You know, the use of ‘cool, yoof cultural elements’ to try and push a cynical feel-good message.
That repetition of “BE YOUR OWN PERSON!” with the harrowing music is like a military march demanding non-conformity. Like tool’s tongue in cheek use of “think for yourself, question authority”, the medium belies the message, its ironic, and very funny to me. I love the music in this track, and the bad rapping does not detract from it for me. Its kind of like the bad scratching in ‘beers, steers, queers’
anyway, i love test. I have not listened to this latest ‘revco’ release, or the 2 from before that, and i may never get around to it, but we will see.
haha, right now i’m listening to the beers steers queers remix cd and before public image (live) some dude is yelling out ‘This is a Test!’
yea. there’s that in the crowd, funny
i like test actually. it’s not great but it floors anything from bush trilogy any day.
Test is better than anything off Mole? We have different ears…
both test and houses have shitty lyrics and ugly vocal delivery
but hey, at least they tried something new with test and it has typical ministry instrumental backing
i’d say that “what about us” is a bigger mistake than test…
You listened to “World” lately? Mmm, I love that track - beats the pants off of “Test”. I like “Worm” a lot too.
true that, but these are only two decent songs from houses. but rio and sucker are completely worthless.
name one ministry album that doesn’t have a stinker?

Twitch
LORAH
Filth Pig
Albums have their stinkers, but I consider those three perfect.
eh…I can do without the Angel, I like it, but wouldn’t mind if it weren’t on the album.
filthpig, for the longest I couldn’t stand useless, but it grew on me in time.

Jesus! I can’t fathom this! WAU? is fantastic, seems like a hold over from tmiatttt!
From filth Pig the, stinker is Brick Windows… completely out of place given the sound of the album. I’ve said it many times and i still hate it…
the pefect album is TDSOTS everything on there is brilliant or close to it. Even the bad songs, “bad blood” and “Supermanic Soul” are still pretty good!

Dark Side has “Step” and “10/10” - not hot numbers in my book. “Brick Windows” is, however, one of my fave Ministry tracks.

I like “Die in a Car Crash” quite a bit. There’s that super long track off rio that reminds me a bit of “BSQ” era dirge that I like too. If I remember, I kind of like “ass clown” too, though the lyrics suck. I think all three and a half (the covers record) Ministry albums make a damn good mini-lp.

Hmmm… Useless was an instant favorite of mine.

10/10 is one of my favorites on Dark side. THat frantic Sax is BAD ASS!!
step is funny! I think step totally has captured the “pay attention to me and my addiction” bullshit. Just the selfishness of celebrity!

I’m a big dark side fan.
I like both Step and 10/10
Jazzyness!
10/10 and Step.
Pure drug-addled brilliance.
<3
the most jazzy bit was in the long version of step and they cut that stuff out. why oh why?
