Setlist Re-Hash

So I know we’ve all done these throughout the years several times but it seems sensible to me that :

A) It would be a good idea to try and come up with something to do a sort of “live anthology” that we may see come up later on sometime in a 2-4 disc set or something to chronicle all of Al’s side projects and the many years of great music that Ministry has given and …

B) We still have members of the Ministry camp (i.e Mrs Jay) who come by and would probably appreciate seeing our opinions, as fans, of what we believe would be great to see as a last tour.

So, here’s my setlist, and while it is in order of when albums/songs came out or were made it is no indication of how I would like to hear the songs played… Yes, it’s long and probably impossible (unless they played for around 5 hours with several short breaks to not kill themselves from over-exhaustion) but here’s the songs that I would like to hear… Oh yeah… And I don’t find this impossible because they have been known to be playing for hour and half/two hour setlists and sometimes even longer for several tours now. Plus, the whole band has lots of energy and vigour and would probably like to set a new standard before they step off the limelight (since that’s what Al has been doing his whole career - which indeed would be funny since it would mock all these bands that are “great and famous” who only play for 30 minutes to an hour and think that’s a good show)…

Oh yes… One last note… I have “Improv” in here a lot which basically reduces to a 30 second to 2 minute break to rest and get ready for the next set of songs where Al can interact with the crowd (like he used to do but doesn’t seem so fond of anymore for some reason)…

Instead of a RevCo opener, maybe they could play the side project material in the first set?

1002

I like the spirit, but given that we’ve bandied these types of lists around so many times and have been treated to basically the same setlists for the last three tours, I can’t help but feel like this is an exercise in futility. I honestly hope that Al and co. prove me wrong and throw out an amazing set for the last sucker tour but if they come up with anything like what its been I may just take a pass this time around (even though it’ll be their last go round).
