Ridley Scott is now signed to reboot Blade Runner:
As the rights were signed away last year or so, I think Ridley is taking this one just so no one else can fuck up Blade Runner. Only he can do that!
They’d be better off putting money into a big budget sci-fi based on an Iain M Banks novel. They were epic tales and could certainly be made into quality adult sci-fi films.

Well he’s on this at the moment, but it seems Prometheus is not a direct sequel or prequel but a splinter film from the original. It’s got a cool cast so far - Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, … and STRINGER BELL!

Trust me, it’s been discussed ad nauseum many times. I’d sooner see an original, even if it isn’t my cup of tea (Gladiator, Matchstick Men).
