From Bruce Corbitt . . .

MIKE SCACCIA BIRTHDAY/TRIBUTE SHOW!!! FRIDAY, JUNE 14 at TREES IN DALLAS! Mike Scaccia’s Birthday is June 14… so we figured there would be no better way to honor the man than a Tribute Show on his actual Birthday. We will be announcing the Headliner sometime next week and more of the bands in upcoming weeks. But I can confirm some of the bands and plans right now.

We thought it would be appropriate to get some bands and musicians from the same era as Rigor Mortis. I’m talking about the original underground metal bands that created our scene in D/FW.

So we are proud to announce the long-awaited reunion of HAMMER WITCH! Many of us never thought it would happen. But they want to do this for Mike. This will be the first Hammer Witch show in almost 20 years. TOO FUCKING COOL!!

We can also confirm the original Texas Thrash band… ROTTING CORPSE!! This will include many of the core members that made up this legendary Texas Thrash Band! YOU KNOW DAMN WELL!!

Also introducing… THE SCACCIANATORS (A Tribute To Rigor Mortis) - Featuring…Casey Orr, Harden Harrison, Bruce Corbitt, Doyle Bright, Mike Taylor, Scott Shelby and more TBA.

We will have video tributes to Mike showing throughout the night. Also we will be playing the music of Mike Scaccia during the night… including cuts from the new Rigor Mortis album. Plus an AMAZING Raffle with all kinds of guitars, band merch etc to giveaway that national bands from all over are donating for this event.

Like I said… the headliner and other bands will be announced soon. But at least you know when it and some of what to expect. This will be a SPECIAL NIGHT! Thanks to Clint and TREES for allowing us to do this for Mike and his family. 100% of every ticket sold at the door and for the raffle will be going to Mike’s Wife Jenny and the kids. I’m psyched and I hope everyone else will be too. Stay tuned for more details coming soon…[/i]

Perfect time to reunite classic Ministry.

Don’t think I can pull this one off as it’s the week before I leave to go across the pond.

The Book Club will reunite and play the hits, minus Al. Cool news though.

You’d think everyone would get over their differences, regardless of the supposed gravity, all for a good cause. They could make tens of thousands of dollars for Mike’s wife and kids if they overlooked it all and played the hits.

For this reason, I honestly cannot say there are any clearly defined right or wrong doers in the dispute. Unless they pull their shit together and make it happen, I can’t help but feel it both sides were as petty and ego focussed as each other.

I don’t know about all that… At the end of the day, I think Al would be the one who refuses to play with them. Especially for a one-off.

Here’s a new video:

Could be Paul too. You can’t say for certain. Either way, they should get their shit together, get over it and do what the know best.

Bill certainly wouldn’t show up. He didn’t even come to the Wax Trax reunion, and Al had nothing to do with it.

I am guessing from the way Special Gerd carried on, that Paul’s not a huge Al fan.

I’m starting to think that that wasn’t really Gerda. If I’m right then that’s a better troll than Baboon 3.

I asked Paul at the Fix viewing in Los Angeles if Gerda posts on Prongs. He confirmed it is her.

Yep. I can vouch for this too. He also knew the names Grmpysmrf and Gunnar. This was all before the Gerda v. Gunnar saga hit full stride, though. I wish it was after she had hit full tilt, just to see if his response would be any different. I kind of doubt it, as he was a pretty easy going and gracious fella regardless.

I still believe Gerda was Special Ed. The stories and the delivery was VERY similar.

I thought that was common knowledge.
She also logged in as Idreamimatiger on the old board years ago.

Guess I missed those memos.

I’m not sure that was her…
That person was indeed a Paul supporter and Al basher, but seemed a bit too coherent and sane to be Gerda…

I don’t remember Idreamimatiger as coherent or sane at all. It was the same b.s. Gerda/Special Ed dished out.

I miss Gerda.
I really wish y’all hadn’t bullied her off the board.

sp. ed was gerda.

idreamimatiger was ty coon.
