Just wondering about the rykodisc promo that was on offer from the site a while back… does someone have the tracklist? It had a ministry rarity on it did it not? Just wondring if anyone know if they are still available, or have copies to sell/trade… or b+p?

If it’s the one that was handed out on the Evil-Doer tour, it was a compilation of Ministry and Thrill Kill Kult (though they were off the tour by the time I saw it). It had “Halloween,” then “He’s Angry” from Earlytrax, followed by two songs from Revco rereleases (which were awful). Then it had a few songs from Sidetrax…one was PTP, one was 1000 Homo DJ’s. Then there were six or so songs from Thrill Kill Kult from the Ryko rereleases. The bonus track was by Special Affect (Al and Frankie’s first band, circa '79) though no release is planned for that album. It’s listed as www.specialaffect.com, though the song is actually called “Vertigo Feeling.”
If you’re simply looking for the songs, you can hit Soulseek, but if you’d like the actual promo I’d be willing to part with mine. All of the songs can be found on other releases (except Special Affect, which isn’t uncommon on the internet). Hit me up with a PM if you want to discuss it.
The downside of this promo is that it contains the bad mono mixes of the Side Trax songs.

is vertigo feeling a track off the Special Affect album/“soundtrack”? THat was the track I was thinking of. I have the LP, but its in storage, I cant check the tracklist.
Hmm… did Al only play on the special affect LP? He wasn’t in the lineup for the Mood Music 7" and whatever their other single was, was he?

The promo isn’t that great, the TKK song selections they put on it are pretty poor selections imo.
And yeah, the mono mixes are on it.
Al only played on “Too Much Soft Living”, not on “Mood Music” or even the “Heartache”/“Thermador” or whatever promo for that matter.
Which is funny, considering “Vertigo Feeling” is from “Mood Music”. It’s about the only cool thing about the promo considering it was remastered.
I didn’t know Al wasn’t included on “Mood Music.” Isn’t that the 7" with “Vertigo Feeling” and two other songs? Funny that they picked one he wasn’t on for a “Ministry & TKK” promo. And yeah, they are the mono mixes. I somehow lucked out and got one of the “fixed” versions of “SideTrax” before I ever even knew of a problem. I got it late, because I already had all of the source material, albeit mostly on vinyl.
