Not too bad… could be better…
A mixture of great and awful…just like the majority of fests it seems…
I wonder what the GG Allin “special tribute” consists of…
That’s actually a pretty strong bill for a two-day.
Kind of a cool mix of big names, underdogs, and nobodies . . . from teeny bopper pop punk and Hot Topic all stars, rap, old school punk, death metal . . .
If I didn’t have to travel far for it I would totally check it out.
That’s bullcrap that Midget Wrestling is listed last, though.

Hopefully it’s done with Feebles-style muppets complete with pooping, raping, mutilation . . . .
But it’s probably just Fall Out Boy.
I’m thinking of going especially for:
Jane’s Addiction, Twisted Sister and D.R.I. (I’ve never seen any of them before). Last time Janes was here I think I was 12 years old… DRI have never been here, and Twisted Sister is their last show in Canada…
Then: Max and Igor doing the entire Roots album, Puscier, At The Drive In, Misfits, Madball, Agnostic Front, ZAO, The Casualties, The Creepshow, The Brains, Despised Icon, Obey The Brave, Stray From The Path are all solid bets too…
Korn, Limp Bizkit, Sum 41, NOFX would be fun just to sit and watch for shits and giggles…
I would check out KoRn if there weren’t better options.
I’ve never really cared about 'em, but have heard they put on a really solid show. Hell, they’ve put in the time and are still around. Someone still digs 'em.
I think the most UN-appealing act on the entire bill would be “Steve Ignorant from CRASS”.
Yeah, get ready for a tone-deaf 60 year old hippie banging on an acoustic guitar and shouting about drinking soy milk and stopping corporations because they do nuclear testing on gay whales or some crap.
COC!!!
Puscifer seems awkwardly high up on the bill.
I realize I’m always out of touch with what is popular, but . . . really?
What about Blink 182 and Sum 41? That’s a thing again?
I don’t live that far from this festival, but that lineup doesn’t appeal to me at all.

Their fanbase is hardcore. I mean, it’s the lead singer of Tool, and you know what their fans are like.

Korn puts on a really good show. It’s been a few years since I’ve seen them, but the few times I have, it’s been pretty intense.

This era of bands, and even crap like Slipknot and KoRn make me feel awkward if I start talking about them too much. My lingo is still stuck on, "I don’t really care for any of that Hot Topic teeny bopper crap . . . "
Then I realize that the bands have all been around for 20 years or so and “those stupid kids” are largely 30-40 years old.
And nu-metal is about as nu as the NWOBHM.
My go to answer nowadays when people ask what kind of bands and music I like is literally, “I like old man metal for old men.” I have a hard time thinking of any bands I listen to that didn’t start in the 70’s or earlier.
ICP is all the way down the list and PUSCIFER is practically headlining?!!? Does anyone actually like or care about that band!??!
It’s basically just “sorry guys, Tool is a bloated cash cow that takes forever to do anything so here’s Maynard’s goofy solo project…” awkward polite golf clapping
I would totally check out ICP!
It’s an acquired taste, but Puscifer is a lot of fun. I always describe them as Maynard’s Pigface. Any genre and anything goes. And they put on a hell of a live show.
We get it: You hate Maynard. But any of his bands are far more successful than ICP. If we’re discussing rankings.
I will shamefully admit I saw ICP once in concert. And I got bounced from the show and managed to sneak back in. It was an epic battle between myself and thick-neck security Nazis at the Newport Theater in Columbus Ohio. Get me drunk sometime and I’ll tell you the whole glorious story.

Ministry?

Seriously? I dug Puscifer first try out. It certainly showcases his voice and the music ain’t bad either.

Yeah, that and Metallica are probably it.
