Richard Skinner Interview

Any chance anyone can upload this guy on YouTube? I have had a few people ask for copies of it, but I don’t have any at the moment. I just figured there probably would be a TON of people who would want to hear this interview and I think it would spark some pretty interesting discussion.

Just to maybe get this some attention… I’m trying to get this for the 8 1/2 band Al J produced back in the day.

I thought I hooked David up with that a while back. Anyway, I have a nice flac copy I ripped from my cassette copy. Hit me up on email or AIM and I’ll hook you up.

Good topic. That brings to mind 2 questions off the top of my head:

  1. What is the status of those “Jourgensen sessions” of unreleased 8 1/2 songs that was announced a while back? I must admit to finding Cheap Illusion quite a nice song and very reminiscent of With Sympathy. You can still listen to those songs here :

If nothing else, these songs would fit perfectly on a volume 2 of Early Trax if Al wants to do a quick cash grab…

  1. IIRC in the Richard Skinner interview (towards the end) Al talks about a reworked/resequenced version of I Wanted to Tell Her. I know they played a snippet of it but I cannot find that mp3 here to save my life. Is that the Extended Mix with the extra “rapb” by Shay Jones in it or was it something that never was officially released?
