HAHA! If this isn’t someone we’re both familiar with I’ll be surprised. Same symptoms of retardation leaking through.

You’re forever welcome,

I Love Yvonne’s vocals in “I wanted to Tell Her.” She stole the show

LOL at your username… Sorry to tell you all, Al is an actor… a bullshitter. Sorry to tell you…move on with your lives. He sold a fantasy and you bought it, and it was good while it lasted. But Al is just a bunch of mean problems. God bless that woman who put up with him and his diseases

This comes as close to describing the Al I knew better than anything I’ve read on this forum. Part actor, part chameleon, part malingerer, part genius. Al does what he does because it’s the only thing he knows how to do. If I had to apply a Meyers-Briggs personality type to him, he’d be an ISFP.[/reply]

Finished the book.

It’s hard to believe that a complete con-artist would have allowed the differing perspectives that are given which contradict some of his own statements in the same book. It seems like he just has his own unique version of reality depending on how he feels about something at any given moment, and seems to be fine with that.

The steady consumption of various chemicals over several decades by a bipolar personality will no doubt confuse things as well.

Of course, that still doesn’t explain why he’s so enthusiastic to be playing Work For Love two years after he was forced at gunpoint to write it and no longer attached to Arista.

Now that is a fact about the bipolar and consumption of chemicals complicate things

The only thing I can think of Why he is so happy during the Work for Love Era is because he’s hustling for his money and happy to have a job. I guess his rent was due. Might explain why he’s still acting onstage and after. He’s hustling and trying to make a living, so he acts as this hard rockstar. Believe me, meeting Al offstage and just by chance as a stranger that no one knows HE"S two different people. He puts on a persona during concerts and after. Once you find out he’s Al, he’s cocky and difficult and there’s no going back of him showing his real colors: A very insecure man

Dem new users…

So, Big Mama, since you seem to know everything about Al, do you know what his favorite breakfast cereal is? I’ve always wondered.

I think he likes a big bowl of SHUT THE F**K UP!!!

I was being facetious. Whether he was acting the whole time or he actually enjoyed it and changed his mind about it later is sort of irrelevant.

The part I find odd is he is 100% fine with admitting that pre-WS songs were just lame rip-offs of whatever he was listening to at the time, and is fine with admitting that pre-Twitch is wimpy dance music performed with a fake british accent. That was all him. But that album in between? 'Dem evil producers. As if most of those songs were really that much different or worse.

Hell, I think that new video is much more embarrassing/legacy-destroying than anything on With Sympathy.

mmmmmm. Yum
