REVCO (p/k/a REVOLTING COCKS), the long-running side project from Al Jourgensen (MINISTRY) and a slew of collaborators over the outfit’s twenty-plus-year history, will release a remix record titled “Sex-O MiXXX-O” on September 29 via Al’s own 13th Planet Records.
The ten-track album couples longtime conspirators, including Luc Van Acker, Dave “Rave” Ogilvie and MARILYN MANSON’s Chris Vrenna, with current REVCO players Clayton Worbeck and Stayte (which features the aforementioned Worbeck as well as Josh Bradford).
The original album, “Sex-O Olympic-O”, was released in the fall of 2008 and was hailed by Alternative Press as the “most satisfying album” Jourgensen had created to date with REVCO and went on to dub the album as a “celebration of hedonism and glorious excess.”

Orchestrating the previously announced LubricaTour, REVCO’s first North American headline run in twenty years, is the legendary master of the unceremonious Jim Rose, of THE JIM ROSE CIRCUS fame, featuring Jim’s cast of freaks and characters, revolving nightly. Previously announced support acts include BLOWNLOAD and LEFT SPINE DOWN. Jourgensen joins the REVCO circus as a special guest artist for the El Paso, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York dates only.
Hell, I’m just happy that there is more than one or two unknown people mixing it. Should be a much more solid effort that the other dub albums being released on 13th Planet. The full song sounds great and the two clips are pretty decent too.
On a similiar note : Two full songs and 2 preview clips of Last Dubber tracks up on the Ministy page also. Not nearly as bad as I thought they would be. Might actually turn out to be a GOOD Ministry addition! A hell of a lot better than I’ve heard since probably DSOTS, despite the fact that they came off Last Sucker. Let’s Go (La Fin Du Monde Mix) sounds awesome. The Life Is Good Mix leaves a bit to be desired IMO. The two clips (End Of Days and Die In A Crash) sound like they should have been part of some Skinny Puppy album that we all sorely missed. Wonder if those are ones that Dave did…? Would make sense.

Wonder if and why Banch came back. Didn’t he and Al have a falling out of sorts before the 06 tour? Wonder if he’s going to be a vocalist also (fire engine).
you know, regardless of however relavent AL is to todays music scene or not, he still manages to get the publicity for all these projects. Whether it’s cd releases or tours. Must have a good A and R guy/gal or something
[reply]Stevie Banch?
Ugh, they should’ve kept the chick bass player from the last tour.
agreed.[/reply]
Her Name is Anna K she’s from Drain STH and Hansel und Gretyl. Perhaps she was busy and couldn’t tour! Agreed though she was great and super nice!
Late,

Speaking of Myspace, has anybody else noticed that for some reason Keys to the City is posted there as a Buck Satan song? WTF?
i think it’s kinda how martin atkins uses every invisible band myspace page for the same announcements… like posting about his toursmart lectures in the damage manual page
