I have to say, not too bad. Has a few older ones I wasn’t expecting(Something Wonderful, Let’s Get Physical), though it’s missing Beers Steers & Queers, which I thought was mandatory. Not a bad mix of old and new considering the line-up is nothing but new guys though. I’ll check them out next month since I’m off and actually enjoy the new album, and almost everything on the set.
Edit: It should be noted that this is the set from Albuquerque, which was apparently more of a festival type deal and they were given a short time. Someone said they played BSQ in El Paso and at least 4 more songs in Denver.
Very short setlist. Cool that they added some variety at least, but that set seemed like barely an hour most likely. And I remember seeing somewhere that they played Touch Screen at the el paso show. Maybe they’ll switch up during shows.
People are insisting that the El Paso show was like twice as long. I suspect exaggeration. The Seattle show in a couple days has someone over on the PA ready to take set notes though, so we’ll see.
They played 4 or 5 more songs in Denver than that. I know that Bang A Gong and Touch Screen were in there. I talked to the guys and there are rumors of BSQ getting worked in when they feel like they’ve got it down.
Love the choice of the 2 “queer disco” songs to close out the show. I wouldn’t mind seeing Crackin’ Up stuck in there somewhere, along with the essential Beers, Steers or maybe Attack Ships or You Often Forget. Nice to see Something Wonderful in there at least.
At any rate, I’ll probably end up going just for curiosity purposes.
No Devotion would be insane. But, that’ll likely never happen, ever. I think without Luc, it’s safe to say there’ll be nothing from BSL. Josh doing 38, or We Shall Cleanse The World? Shit…
Well, the good news is Luc is still cool with Al and the current crew, so he could tour with them again. It’s just that he lives in, y’know, Belgium and stuff.

True. He’ll probably show up on the euro-tour, if there’s one. Can’t go wrong with Attack Ships On Fire.
Just came back from the Seattle show. SEE THIS FUCKIN’ TOUR.
