Eddy Garzia (PISSING RAZORS & MINISTRY)

Ana K ([url “http://www.myspace.com/hanzelundgretyl”]HANZEUL UND GRETYL)

Ewww who are these people?

Ana K from fucking Hanzel Und Gretyl?!!?

Don’t tell me I’m going to have to sit through female death metal vocals…please…please…

I seriously can’t bring friends to this concert if that dyke is doing vocals for RevCo. It would honestly be too embarassing for me to even bring anyone.

I’m so goddamn sick of all this heavy metal faggotry in the Ministry camp.

Who the fuck are these people…

Stayte?!!? God that is just awful! Has anyone heard these ass clowns?

Haha Metal Edge magazine can suck my cock seriously what’s with this caveman headbanging ape bullshit???

And what kind of queer calls themself Sin???

YES, WE NEED SKINNY BACK!!!

Damn, voidhead - seems that no matter what Al or Ministry/Revco do, you have a huge problem with it. Down to the fact that they chose to include a female vocalist on the tour. No-one’s forcing you to go see the “dyke” which will embarrass you in front of your friends.

I know a lot of my shit comes across as negative, but let me say I am going to stick in for the long haul when it comes to Ministry.

Yes, I think Houses of the Mole was a disaster, but tracks like WTV, World, and Worm are Ministry classics…no doubt.

Also my favorite period of Ministry is Filth Pig, Dark Side of the Spoon, Animositisomina (my first Ministry album and one of my favorites). So I am new fan who can still see past the “return to form” bullshit tagged on to Houses of the Mole.

I saw the video for “What About Us” on Fuse and it changed my life because before that I really couldn’t identify with the music I was hearing on the radio etc. Then I went and bought Animositisomina, discovered Industrial Metal which led me to Industrial, Noise and all things Experimental etc. and I never looked back.

Land of Rape and Honey was, of course, a classic, but I feel that The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste is incredibly overrated and repetitive. Psalm 69 has some really strong tracks but I don’t think it compares as a whole to Filth Pig, their best work in my opinion.

So keep in mind my comments are coming from someone who was incredibly happy with what Ministry was going right up until Paul Barker’s departure.

I am following Paul’s career avidly, but unless you want to make a seperate Prongs for Barker discussion, I feel my comments are relevant.

I loved Halloween Party and if Pink Anvil does anything else I will definitely buy it. Or if Paul finally releases that “solo record”…

At that point I just feel the band has stopped evolving on almost every level and I think a lot of people agree with me.

When Rio Grande Blood comes out, you can expect me to buy it and probably dislike most of it, but I’m still holding out for a gem or two because I know Al still has a little something in him even without Barker.

Besides, I don’t think that grunting cookie monster chick could really qualify as a “Vocalist”…

I know a lot of my shit comes across as negative, but let me say I am going to stick in for the long haul when it comes to Ministry.

Your posts negative? Who would’ve thought that:

“Fuck Chris Connelly.”
“Fuck Raven. I’m sick of this Killing Joke bitch taking Barker’s place.”

No he didn’t replace Barker. Barker left a few years ago, on his own accord and is happy with his decision. What the hell did Raven or Connelly do to you? You think Connelly will be checking this forum anymore after that thread just bashed him without mercy? I don’t get it.

Also:
"And Hero is just terrible. Terrible. Typical heavy metal shit once again…sounds so fucking corny " - this was done on purpose. It was a joke. Surely you knew that when Al shouts “HERO!” and the guitar solo starts. This is a joke that many picked up on.

"And Psalm69 sounds like some faggot metal band like Lamb of God or something “drinking the blood of JEEESUS!!!” " - it was their #1 seller and got them big. It was also unique in it’s way.

Have opinions but when you dislike someone or something and when every post of yours is “Fuck this or fuck that”, it does come off as negative and what is the point really.

I’m not saying all your posts are like that but that’s the surface of it…

And not just you voidhead but many of you. All you guys are still attached to the old Ministry, which is fine. But this is the circle that occurs:

  • “Gee, I wish Al would do something like Psalm 69. Filth Pig sucked balls!”
    (Houses is released)
  • “Wow this sounds too much like Psalm 69. What fags”.

Ministry has spanned a lot of music diversity over time, and with any band like that, there will be divisions (old Metallica, new Metallica, old Stones, new Stones, etc, etc).

But this forum used to be awesome with discussions. Now when I come on here, absolutely anyone associated with Ministry is slagged off. I don’t even check this forum anymore because of those reasons. This now seems like the Piss Army when that first started. People have been slowly wondering away.

Take Rantology for example. There were threads on here about the album before it was even released which bashed it to no end. Is it the first time a band released a compilation? Puppy did it. Twice. New Order does it all the time. Alice In Chains too.

But it was cool that Al reworked many of the songs. It was not meant to be a new album and he didn’t have to re-record vocals and instruments on a lot of tracks, but he did. He spent time on it and remastered stuff himself for it. It simply wasn’t yet another “Best Of” release which many bands do, yet, before it was released it was immediately renounced. At least be open minded and fair in your judgements…

This is the pattern of this message board:

  • Revco will post some news he finds from the various sources.
  • the 10 replies to his post will be bashing/flaming the news.

Many also bashed the pre-order. They exist for the reason that sometimes it’s hard to find Ministry releases elsewhere. This was requested by members of PA and Ministry listened to them. Also the CD direct from Ministry for $11.98 and 50 free song downloads is better than purchasing it for $14.99 somewhere else. If you don’t want to buy it, fine, but are posts like “Ministry are whores for offering pre-orders” really true and necessary?

What I personally dont understand is why people feel the need to broadcast their dissatisfaction with something. Did Ministry really do something so truly awful to you personally that you feel the need to scream insults in a message board? Who cares? If Ministry doesnt make music that you like anymore, just go and listen to something else and stop bitching.

Not to pile on, but could you also go at least one thread without calling someone a faggot, queer, dyke, etc?

Actually it’s maxmal, but it’s ok.[;)]

So if the info about the line up is correct Eddy Garzia should be the drummer, right?.[/reply]

Garcia would be the bassist - at least he was when he toured with Ministry on their last tour…

(guy on the left)

I thought Rick Valles was the bass player during the Evildoer tour and Eddy Garcia the guitar player.

Rick = Guitarist (http://www.ministrymusic.org/pics/evildoer/toronto5-1-0.min - pic of him in action)

http://www.prongs.org/ministry/members - members list - going to update soon when things are finalized…

Anna K plays bass for HuG and also did so for Drain STH. No need to worry, about any vocals from her.

Afra,
I completely agree with your post. This used to be a decent board for Ministry fans. Now it seems like a meeting place for disgruntled Ministry Fans.

Wooord Afra et al.! This is the most animated post I have EVER seen by you.

Kudos M’man and my sentiments exactly.

Wooord Afra et al.! This is the most animated post I have EVER seen by you.

It was rather impressive.

It’s ok…I got slagged a few times because I actually liked HOTM. =P

As for the new Revco…I downloaded it today and although it’s not classic Revco, it’s not that bad.

Besides, as long as I hear BS&Q and Mr. Lucky live, I’ll be happy.

I know I’m guilty of throwing some crap lately, but it’s mostly about the WithSym era, which I LOVE, and I’m just wishing Al would own up to having anything to do with that. I agree with your post about 99% - the only thing I take issue with is your defense of Rantology, which wasn’t terrible, but also not necessary. Al himself kinda disses it in the Opie and Anthony interview, and I just can’t see it as anything but a money grab from Sanctuary because they knew he was leaving. That’s just an opinion, but it makes sense to me - I’m not the one that knows him. I even REALLY like the updates of N.W.O. and Unsung, those were pretty cool. And yeah, the Revco doesn’t much appeal to me; I said so, and then left it alone. Although I can’t wait to see Jello on tour with them!
But comparing this place to the Piss Army? Ouch.

i might take the chance to sum up afras wise words concisely as i can:

FUCKING. MOVE. ON. [:)]

in reality it was like that:

(in the chat) al says “well i’m remixing alot of cool stuff, for the new cd, even more bush bashing

(rantology is released) (some good, some bad reviews)

al says something like “well, it wasn’t all that great, it was pretty weird, cuz i don’t like to re-do my stuff

al “i wanted to put more different songs on it but there are the contractual problems, etc”

and the obsession with bush? it’s so silly, i mean, almost like al thought himself “what was my most successive stuff? psalm69! what did it had? guitars, some metal, and… hey, NWO track had bush samples! let’s do it again!!!”

i think al is in love with bush.

PS (i LIKE some stuff from HOTM and Rantology. and i even bought them, (whoa!) i just don’t know how is that a “RETURN TO FORM” and etc…)

and mrsjays says “well, lets see in the past year al did two cds for ministry, one for revco and a new one is coming up”

well heh, so what? quantity doesn’t mean quality.=)

But this forum used to be awesome with discussions. Now when I come on here, absolutely anyone associated with Ministry is slagged off. I don’t even check this forum anymore because of those reasons. This now seems like the Piss Army when that first started. People have been slowly wondering away.

This exactly how I feel as well…

Applause Afra.

"- “Gee, I wish Al would do something like Psalm 69. Filth Pig sucked balls!”

  • “Wow this sounds too much like Psalm 69. What fags”. "

I made a similar post some time ago and pointed the exactly same thing out.
Whatever Ministry do there is always someone pissed of about it… and it is only those who post in this forum… mostly… sadly.
It’s a shame. hope things will turn.

it’s not that.

it’s just that ministry/revco, the whole thing turned into total wankery since the release of HOTM.
