That’s pretty ridiculous. Thanks for the info, and welcome to Prongs! Stick around a minute and such.
It said they’re from LA on their reverbnation thing when I looked up tour dates. I almost don’t wanna make the trip to LA anymore now that I know where they’re playing. It’s some total goth bar called Bar Sinister. I don’t wanna be around a bunch of snooty goths.
I’ve not ever gone to Bar Sinister, but everything I’ve ever seen about the place makes me not wanna go there (unless it’s to get in a fight).
There was some Ministry release party there a while back and my homeboy almost didn’t even get in because he wasn’t dressed “goth enough”. Fortunately Al was coming around the same time and he got him through. I’ve seen the place on some stupid late night show that used to feature the “best of LA clubs” and it just seemed so ridiculously LAME.
I don’t know if any of the LA cats around here are old enough, but there used to be a cool club called Kontrol Faktory (they replaced the C’s with K’s so you knew it was legit) which was pretty badass.

We were in the Hollywood Ralphs at the checkout when a chick wearing a Bar Sinister short-sleeve t-shirt queued behind us. We noticed that she was track marked up and down both arms.
Someone on the radio today meant to say “retrospective” but instead said “retrospectacle”. I immediately thought of Jackie’s boobs and smiled.

Kontrol Faktory…brings back memories of all those clubs like Perversion, Helter Skelter, Sin-A-Matic, etc. There was another cool one that moved, not sure if it is still around, Club Cherry. Eclectic scene there. Oh yeah, The World that had the three rooms spinning 80s, goth, and hip hop. That was a strange combo. Think it changed its name to the Ruby or something.
Bar Sinister is pricky, don’t show up in anything less than all black. Mesh and a frown are also encouraged.
I’m back, sorry so late.
Jamie used Ambelton Live from the source CDs.
He reprogrammed and remastered the samples.
When I spoke with him. He said the guys were so unorganized and he pretty much set up the whole sound system too for them. 90% of all the engineering was Jamie for that part of the show.
Cheers!
