The FREE cover compilation ‘A Terrible Thing To Cover’ has been released.
The bandcamp page can be checked out here: https://tribulations1.bandcamp.com/album/ministry-a-terrible-thing-to-cover
Bandcamp only allows 200 downloads per month for free releases (which was reached within an hour or so), so here is a dropbox link for your downloading pleasure as well:

Oh, and don’t worry, there’s only one ‘Just One Fix’ cover on it (but its pretty darn good)
cheers,
Roland
I like the Same Old Madness cover by Program 88. Is the vocalist the guy from the newer Revco stuff? (Josh Bradford?)
Judging from the info on their Facebook page, no.

The guy’s name is Joe Virus.
I don’t think I’ve seen a bigger collection of no name artists in my life HAHA!
That said Kaif was ok, never thought id see a cover from Spoon. Deity was a pretty good cover too.

Thanks to the internet and cheaper recording tech, anyone can put out an album of covers.
Not sure what you were expecting for a free compilation, but I think much of this is pretty good, and I’ve enjoyed spinning it a couple time already.
And about it being stacked with “nobodies”, seems like a weird complaint. Pretty sure Tool or NIN or whoever wouldn’t be ready to contribute to a free compilation. And is that seriously what you want from a tribute album?
Anyway, if you don’t know who Dead When I Found Her, Cardinal Noire, Caustic, Chrysalide, and IIOIOIOII are, you’ve been missing out. Go listen to Caustic’s album Industrial Music. It won’t change your life, but you will be entertained. Same with any of the DWIFH albums. These are actually some pretty decently big names in the industrial (or whatever) genre, at least if you listen to current stuff.
Some non-cover work by some of the groups who contributed.

I’m casually familiar with Caustic and DWIFH.
Caustic in particular is pure diarrhea though. Id honestly rather buy several Justin Beiber albums and jam to that. At least id be able to bob my head to some catchy beats and laugh at some cheesy lyrics as opposed to cringing several times and regretting having played anything by Caustic.

Tool or NIN lol. Frankly Id rather hear from Puppy, or even Connelly on this thing. Sure NIN would be nice but i wouldnt expect NIN to contribute to any kind of tribute album these days.
I like DWIAH cover of Down In It more than YKWYA.

I’m not sure why they wouldn’t. NIN recorded a song for a U2 tribute compilation that was given away with the purchase of a magazine in 2011. https://www.discogs.com/Various-Ăhk-toong-Bay-bi-Covered/release/3184321

Bro that was 6 years ago. He seems pretty occupied these days.
