you mean super ready/fragmente?
its not that new, lol
well, its still young gods so its still interesting musically and they still sound like no other band out there; however, as far as YG albums go, this one is fairly mediocre. Unfocused, more than anything else. And the lyrics are sometimes ridiculously bad (at least the ones in English).
i like the new cult album. it is different i won’t deny it. but there’s some decent songs in there. i’ve always kept up with them. some of the sonic temple and ceremony fans don’t like it - but then again, to me, those albums are their worst.
if you manage to get your hands on it get the “savage edittion” its got a bonus disk w/5 extra tunes.
yea the roadrunner thing is strange but theyre also working with live nation - in fact i don’t know if you guys have noticed but a lot of people are nowadays. they put out a DVD a few months ago and its pretty good. the drummer they’re with is John Tempesta and bass is Chris Wyse.
About 25,000 people in a field and MAYBE twenty people TOPS were getting into it. Nearly everybody else stood there and smirked and occasionally hurled insults while Ian ‘RocknRoll Baby Yeah’ Astbury pranced around in his snakeskin pants and maracas doing his best Robert Plant/Jim Morrisson schtick which tired after about two minutes.
And when he tried to impress the Australian audience with a cry of ‘Bon Scott is a rock legend right on’, there was complete silence. You could hear a pin drop.
I’m not aware of listening to different things at certain times of the year. But then with the darker nights drawing in at the end of summer (which never happened this year in the UK) maybe I’m looking for something uplifting. Probably not.
Stayte - ‘Abandon In Amber’ reminds me of this time last year
Toy Dolls - ‘Dig That Groove Baby’ because I saw them live recently and they’re still so damn annoyingly cheery after 28 years. Credit to that.
RDF - ‘Borderline Cases’ So damn annoyingly uncheery. Credit to that too.
Ministry - Filthpig/RGDya
Nomeansno - ‘Worldhood of the World as Such’
Paul Carter - ‘Old Enough to Know Better’
L7 - ‘Slaphappy’
Brutal Juice - ‘Mutilation makes Identification Difficult’
