Sorry, but the PA just begs to be picked on with the laughably sheepish attitude that is displayed by 90% of the posters! I mean can you imagine if there was a forum where 90% of the posters did nothing but praise George Lucas about the abysmal stink-fests that were the latest Star Wars flicks? You can bet yer ass there would be people starting shit with those folks, and it would be a LOT less civil than anything on prongs!
I have faith that in time the PA members will grow up and listen to the post-Barker Ministry material several years down the line and realize that though they had some fun with it that it was ultimately mindless drivel peddled to them by a 50yr old Juvenile delinquent that will be later sold for beer money or placed deep in the closet with the hot topic accessories, the old crusty bong and other souvenirs of a “rebellious” childhood. Lets just hope for their sake they have the smarts to stay away from facial tattoos!

Then you can half that, due to what I said about honest opinions earlier.
So you’re left with 30%.
30%'s not bad but you can half it again due to drug/alcohol induce happy posts.
Which leaves 15%, which is only about 5 people due to the number of active members.
And two of those have always been more active on Prongs.
Oh, please…I highly doubt and would be willing to bet that my drinking surely doesn’t affect any of my posts or opinions. Perhaps amplified, but never false and sugar-coated. So I highly doubt that only a measly 15 percent of them are “OMGZ, TEH NEW MINISTRY ROX MY SOX. BEST MINISTRY EVARS!”. I’ve been there and browse from time to time, it’s more than 15 and surely more than 60 as well.
He’s coming from the position of a regular user - those of us that constitute the core group of people that post on at least a weekly basis, and have fostered friendships outside of the stupid internet. Taking into account the people that signed up specifically to make one post (best album EVARRRS), you’re probably right.
We tend to ignore these people.
But remind me again why we’re still talking about this?
Just seems as though my main gripes all add up and constitute towards the same thing. Al’s wife posts there, and they all probably want to be on her graces. Be super tight and cool with Mrs. Jay. If I were 14 and posting there, i’d probably act the same way. But you grow up some and realize people are just people like you and I. If mrs. jay didn’t post there or anywhere, I really wonder what comments and reviews would surface. But as i’ve previously said, you either like it or you don’t. Doesn’t hurt anyone by being truthful, agree or disagree. But it just seems like everyone’s eating the new albums up only because of the wife and the thought that Al probably and most likely lurks from time to time. “Would want to offend the talent…”. But there’s nothing wrong with a little constructive criticism, but in such cases, he doesn’t care and did and does what he wants.
But in the end, the moral is if you like it cool. if you don’t, fine. But you don’t have sugar-coat and make excuses when someone questions your opinions.
