I don’t know if this is a real band or if it’s a piss take or what the fuck is going on here, either way it doesn’t really matter. I’ve just seen what I believe to be the greatest music video of all time. Well…if not “Of All Time” then at least the greatest clip this century.
I don’t remember being moved by a video clip this much since Cyndi Lauper’s “Goonies R Good Enough*”.
Here is the music video for Day Above Ground’s (?) sensational new hit - Asian Girlz
I hope that brought you as much jaw dropping “How The Fuck Did They Get Away With That Shit” awe inspiring glory as it gave me. Why they don’t make more videos like that these days I’ll never know.
(DO NOT watch this at work or if you are EASILY offended by “racist” stereotyping or if you are in general a whiny politically correct emo fuck).
Preaz enjoy!!
UPDATE!
Oh look out!! It is a real band…and they’re makin’ headlines…
They must be from the LA area as they give shout outs to a bunch of cities around here, including Alhambra, which is where I lived for 10 years. I even took Grmpy there for some noodle action last month . . . I apologized to him for getting confused and taking him to the wrong place. “What was the confusion?”, you ask. Well, aside from there being about 1000 Chinese places within a 4 block radius, there are, next to each other, and on the same side of the street . . . Noodle World, Noodle Planet, and Noodle City. I never remember which one I like the best and always seem to stumble in the wrong one.
It was really good. the egg rolls were excellent.
I just let Gunnar order so it seemed more date like [:)], that and I had not heard of anything on that menu. He ordered some stuff that I was a little scared of at it’s arrival (it was odd looking) but had such a unique flavor (unique in a good way) that I had 2nd and 3rd helpings. it had coconut in it if I remember right. Never smelled or tasted anything like it before.
I’d tag along on that noodle trip again.
he’s not kidding about how many similar noodles eats there are in a 3 block radius. I think “noodle Universe” was one of the restaurants that we passed as well.
Late,
grmpysmrf
Yeah! Coconut milk is the bomb and is super prevalent in Thai food especially! It’s awesome in soup and in curries. Tom Kha Noodle was the one I ordered.

I love those Chinatown type districts where every second store is a restaurant / take away. I walk around drooling whenever I go to Chinatown in Melbourne.
I’ve never been to Melbourne, but there was a really cool area of Sydney when I was there called “King’s Cross” or “King’s Row” or something. I don’t remember exactly, but there were restaurants EVERYWHERE and after a drunken gambling binge I ended up there. I wandered along, stumbling door to door and eating everything that sounded or smelled good or had a pretty picture I could point to and grunt at.
That’s Kings Cross Pinz. You’d go BANANAS over Sydney’s Chinatown area which is near Darling Harbour…that is choc full if restaurants, takeaways and theatres.

coconut milk is a wonderful cooking aid. (also a great alternative to cow milk in coffee)
i never knew there could be so much culinary discussion here on the forum… haha.
