Quick poll

You gotta have Lava on there somewhere!

Hah! I thought I was the only other person anywhere who preferred the Twitched version of “The Angel”.

It’s amazing how those intro drum beats change the whole feel of the song!

Ditto on the 12" version of Stigmata.

My personal list would be pretty similar but I’d HAVE to include the Cure-esque original version of “I"m Falling” somewhere on there.

And my disc 2 mix would be heavier on FP and DSOTS material and likely omit everything from the past 3 albums other than maybe “The Light Pours” , “Shove”, and “Khyber Pass”.

I like the selection for both cds…good job.

I would have included Nursing Home or Step somehow. [cool]

Man, great job… though JUST “Bad Blood”?
At least you allowed ONE DSOTS track.

Yeah, CD 1 was the no-brainer, really. CD 2 was trickier for some reason. Opinions are definitely a lot more divided on the later material, it seems. For DSOTS, I was originally considering Whip and Chain and/or Kaif along with Bad Blood, but there ended up not being room. Same went for Lava, which I guess is my fourth-favorite from Filth Pig. I didn’t want more than 3 songs from that LP, so my favorites were picked. I think I also had Lockbox on there, briefly. That tune is great when it’s cranked really loud.

Speaking of Lockbox, I came across A.I. on TNT the other day, right when the Flesh Fair scene was starting. I forgot how much I really don’t like that movie! Went on for an eternity when I saw it at the theatre, and I could barely hang with the Flesh Fair scene. Just a big ‘nothing’ of a film. Good gig for Ministry, but that scene just reaffirms my dislike for “What About Us?”…it’s just a straight-up crappy song!

Jizzwad, you’ll be happy to know that I just got home from the Rush concert here in Phoenix. Great show, but the post-concert scene was fucked. Apparently, during the show, some guy at a check-cashing store up the road shot a cop, so there was a massive manhunt going on. When the concert ended, they’d closed off all the exits except one (the concert was at an outdoor pavilion), and the police were running a checkpoint there (everyone had to pop their trunks). We’re talking thousands of cars (must’ve been a solid 15K in attendance) sitting still in the parking lot, with cars trickling out of the place. Luckily, one of the traffic barriers broke, and we were able to get way ahead in line, and the hell out of there in about half-an-hour. Anyway, Rush was great, as usual. Broke out a couple of surprise goldie-oldies.

yeah, I saw Rush @ Jones Beach…great show & in Sept going to MSG. Check out the Atlanta DVD on Dime

Fucken score!

Some fellow Rushians. You peeps have been to the Snakes + Arrows show??? Bastards.

I’m next to last in September…! Our Amphitheater closes for good and gets turned into condos after this season so I’m gonna relish this one.

Heard they open with Limelight and New World Man. Also heard that they played Entre Nous, Circumstances, Mission, and one offa Grace Under Pressure which I ain’t heard live soooooooo I’m pretty amped.

What was merch like? Any badass Hugh Syme designed shirts on this tour?

Man, bring on September.

They haven’t played New World Man on this tour yet. Yeah, hearing Entre Nous & Circumstances for the first time was awesome. The videos are funny too.

Digital Man was a nice suprise for me (played second after Limelight, not New World Man), being the big Signals fan that I am. Kind of a bummer not hearing anything from Presto or Power Windows, but I got to hear that stuff on the R30 tour. The S&A songs sound really good live. Circumstances was cool. Witch Hunt was surprising. They played two Grace songs - Distant Early Warning, and Between The Wheels (both were played during the R30 tour, too).

Shitload of merchandise, most of them were S&A shirts, but they had a couple of retro designs.

The Bob & Doug and South Park videos were great.

'Digital Man was a nice surprise for me"…yeah that did rock & was so cool to hear 3rd in the set…noted shorter version. “being the big Signals fan”…me too as sub divisions is an all time favorite. “Witch Hunt was surprising”. I’ve heard it done a few times but was still happy nevertheless.

“They played two Grace songs - Distant Early Warning, and Between The Wheels." Lucky you as I would of liked to hear DEW instead of Summertime Blues.

Check out the two tunes done by fans:
