Their first ever release - on what label and what was the release date for it? I am not so sure about this myself, and can’t find MajNarx regarding this…

The first release was the No Devotion 12". Released on Wax Trax in the US (WAX011 with the yellow cover with the 3 Revco guys) and Wax Trax UK in Europe (WAXUK011 with the same cover as the US release, but blue instead of yellow). There was also an early version that I believe was used as a promo. The record itself was one of the Wax Trax test pressings, but with stickers applied over the test pressing logo on each side (one with Luc’s face, one with R23’s). The sleeve was the recalled version with a big RC on the front and listing the members as Van Acker and R23 on the back with Al as merely “producer”. I would guess this was the first time WT used test pressings as promos, though they did so quite commonly later on.
As far as the date… no clue. Sometime in late 85 I think.
I think I posted a link showing the original yellow cover. not 100% sure
Thanks guys - I don’t know why he was asking but something may be coming up…
like what? they’ve already raped big sexy land “reissue”…

bring it.
I do know for a fact that there were several post BigSexyLand tracks recorded with R23. Perhaps we’ll see those pop up. Sure would be cooler than Prunetrang.
that would be great. hell, the release of benign mix of you often forget would be nice.

I would die a happy man knowing I’ve gotten to hear unreleased BSL era revco…

Word.
i fucking love that record.
having said that, i also love BS&Q and LFG.
i hope new revco don’t suck.
prunetang left lots to be desired
It’s been so long since anything’s been heard about the record that i’m guessing Al heard all the negative feedback (regarding “Prunetang”) and decided to redouble efforts on the record. I base this on absolutely nothing, but it just seems odd that the record was supposed to come out so long ago, and nothing.
Prunetang was basically a Skatenigs song with Al as a guest guitarist. Bring on Alien Sonofabitch!
Any1 have the Prunetang MP3? Msg me on slsk, “InspectorStairwell”
I have it and I added you to my list but it doesn’t show you as being there. Are you sure that’s how you spell your nick? Remember that SLSK IS case sensitive.
