Of all the known ministry side projects this the one least i know of. the personnel involved is Chris, Al & Paul (with some contribution by Ogre)
Since Bill Rieflin isn’t involve then who played the drums? is all just drum programming? what’s the original intention of this project? is it b’coz of left-over tracks from other projects?
It sounds like programmed drums to me.
As for who was involved, it started as a way to get on the Robocop soundtrack. That’s the song “Show Me Your Spine”. Later, Chris wrote some lyrics for the other two tracks that were released as the PTP single.
Chris goes into a little more detail in his book, but IIRC these songs were done at a time when the gang would just go in the studio and record a bunch of stuff and Al would later decide what songs should go with what projects.
Also, the early stages of the track “My Favorite Things” began life as a Ministry song in 1986 called “I See Red”… same drum and bassline programming, but completely different lyrics. I guess they kept the music mostly as-is and used Chris Conelly’s new lyrics to make the PTP song we know now.

Isn’t the song “I see red” was posted here awhile back under the mp3 section? the song has Al singing in his twitch era whisper style ala pet shop boys. it’s a live version.
Is it that song?
Al Formed this band with the intention of getting a song on the Robocop Soundtrack but because of lisencing Issues and what not The Ministry Name could not be involved because it was owned my another corporation than the one that was doing the movie so He created this fake group to get into the Movie. I beleive I read that in the connelly book

Here you’ll find pretty much everything that’s known about PTP and then some, plus an interview I did with Chris Connelly about the project.
I talked to Paul Barker about PTP as well and he agreed to do an interview with the site, but I couldn’t get back in touch with him. If someone could help, I’d be much appreciative. It would be great to have Paul’s take on it as well.
I don’t expect to ever get input from Uncle Al on it.
Good job on the site, SKot…very informative. I enjoyed the CC interview.
So, when do we get a Pailhead site, eh?
RE: Al’s input - have you tried sending Angie a PM over on PA? Maybe she’d pass on the questions to Al, you never know. They did just add Tulsa to the tour, as a result of one fan’s request. I thought that was cool. That being said, I don’t see too many fan-based interviews with Al out there.

Thanks! It was originally a joke, where I always wanted to do a whole website for a “group” that only had one 12" single and two songs (technically three) to their name. But I realized it could be an actual resource as well.

Well, none so far, although I’d love to see one. Be sure to take a look at the main website, though:
…there are websites there a friend of mine did for 1000 Homo DJs, Acid Horse, Lard and Luc van Acker.

I don’t frequent PA, but that might be worth trying. Interviewing Al from a fan’s perspective would be worth doing, particularly if he deviated from the canned responses he gives to the canned questions he always gets. I guarantee my questions would be atypical.
The chattering at the beginning of “Rubber Glove Seduction” is actually a sped-up vocal sample. When slowed down, it says "Freeze! This is the police. Drop your weapons and place your hands above your head!.
