Psalm 69 Vinyl Reissue

I noticed on Ebay and Amazon there is a listing for a 2011 release of Psalm 69 on Vinyl. Anybody know about this?

I don’t know anything about it, but it’s funny as I think someone on this board was guessing Al’s “big announcement” was going to be a 20th Anniversary re-issue of Psalm69.

Any images available?

Weird. I saw the listing. There’s really no helpful information there. There’s 9 of 'em, though. I’ll search Google and see if there was any announcement for this release.

found this, it’s just a blurb tho. 180 gram.

Thanks for the info. There are few bands that sound as good on Vinyl as Ministry. “You Know What You Are” might be the single best song (Sound Quality) ever committed to vinyl as far as sound quality in my humble opinion.

If it’s a gatefold and features a decent bit of info in it and the mastering is decent I’d be almost tempted to pick it up. I’m happy with my 10" of the album on vinyl though.

Don’t you want 2 more inches, Akbar?

I guess a couple more inches and an extra 100 grams would go down well.

Hard rocking industrial metal masters, Ministry, will be seeing an August reissue of their seminal album, Psalm 69. The special edition vinyl-only gatefold release will be a special treat for new and old fans alike as all tracks have been remastered by industrial engineer and longtime Jourgensen collaborator, Erie Load, to capture the original energy and essence intended by Al Jourgensen.

Sounded somewhat interesting till the Erie Load part. What’s his credentials on how to make a 20-year old record sound better than it really is?

I was actually positive it would’ve been a Plain Recordings or Simply Vinyl re-issue, which is nothing special but still kind of cool. But, even those labels have in-house remixers, and I’d trust their knowledge more than some sixth-rate industrial “musician” that is known more for embarrassing remixes to already sub-par songs in the FIRST place.

Gunnar, I love your Erie posts, don’t ever stop. He also did a remix for Flashback that never got released. The new NWO actually isn’t that bad, the Stigmata has it’s moments… Not really a fan of the new Hotrod.

As for the vinyl, does anyone know if it’s 13th Planet? I’m definitely getting this.

I think Gunnar is fucking with us.

because you know what a big fan Gunnar is of Erie Load…

he’s bought all the Ministry remixxxes.

He even got the underground shit that he did with Skam. Hes got a room full of his posters and his pictures man. He likes that shit he did with Ruckus too, He thinks that shit was phat.

Erie Load is his #1 but I think it’s just wishful thinking.

It’s not really mixed by Erie Load…God at least I hope he’s fucking with us.

Really, though, would you be surprised? Would you really be surprised?

Hes got a room full of his posters and his pictures man.

True, but it only took one picture to fill the room . . . . Man, do I love that giant human hippo. He’s a god among men.

He likes that shit he did with Ruckus too, He thinks that shit was phat.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

really. interesting only because the rights can’t be doled away without pablo’s permission. this sounds like a hoax. guess i’ll spend two minutes of my time calling warner’s.

Could be a disguised bootleg like Twitched, or something where someone thinks they have the rights but don’t, like the With Sympathy reissue that never materialized.

Yeah, but Al didn’t put out Twitched.

Yeah, but Al didn’t put out Twitched.

Is al putting this out? I was kinda under the impression this was an independent warner bros cash grab.

I’m sure this will all be peacefully resolved in a most. Efficient manner.
