Yeah, thanks for setting this up. Should be interesting to hear Max’s side of the story.
i can’t wait for this interview [cool]
pink anvil is badass!
Can’t wait for the interview should be very cool. Mad Max is awesome. I still got to pickup pink anvil and check it out. 2003 tour was killer when ministry played close to 3 hours live in chicago and everywhere else. Stories from Max from touring would be interesting to hear. Would like to see another live concert ministry dvd released as I think they have a ton of footage saved up.
So let’s hear it!
still going… almost through the end of side two of the tapes. that leaves one side. sorry for the delay, i have work and crapola.
onto the pink anvil portions now…

wets himself in excitement
it’s up. hope you enjoy…
kickass!
Excellent Work JLW. Good read and some really interesting tidbits in there. One thing that jumped out at me is I had no idea Lee Popa was still involved in Ministry.
great stuff there, many thanks, it was a very interesting read.
though i didn’t like the phrase “al and paul don’t get along at all”… that sucks…
Really nice interview.
Good job!
Great interview.
Now I want to go listen to “Halloween Party” again now that I know more about how it came about.
excellent! much thanks!!

He ran sound all the way up until that tour. Oddly enough, since 2000, I don’t think anyone knows what he’s been up to since.
Thanks so much this was really really fucking interesting!!!
I was surprised that the Pink Anvil stuff invovled songs made during the Animositisomina sessions originally intended for Ministry, and that a lot of it was preplanned and they used backing tapes. Really cool shit…
Wow and New Years Eve Party AND another studio record are completed!!! Fucking awesome man!!!
I really really hope this stuff sees the light of day, plus the Pink Anvil website that was mentioned a possibility. Really exciting.
Too bad Barker moved to LA, barring the possibility of more Pink Anvil stuff…seemed like Brody was really into the material too and would have been happy to consider it his main band.
It’s also awesome to see that Brody was involved in so many of my favorite Ministry tunes from Animositisomina. I thought Barker was the sole genius behind many of those gems.
Also cool that Brody motivated Barker into the whole Pink Anvil thing…this guy is really cool!!!
Is there any way we can get in contact with Barker and bug him to get his shit together with Pink Anvil???
After reading how Paul and Al aren’t getting along. I’m starting to think idreamimatiger actually WAS Paul Barker…
What do you guys think? Is this a possibility???
Dude that was rad, thanks man. Im totally up for rallying a group of people to bug Paul to work on Pink Anvil shizz, thatd be awesome to hear all the supposed unreleased material! Id love to do the artwork for New Year’s Party, Ill work on that tomorrow as a matter of fact, Ill post it up somewhere on these boards soon.
Nice job. Keep 'em coming.

No, but Max did tell me that he’d love to hear from you guys if you’re really interested in wanting more Anvil… he can be reach by email in the interview, or if you’re the type he’s also got a myspace… add em:

(btw that was the pic i was gonna post earlier in the thread)
Surely he’ll pass it on, at least that’s what he told me and all on the phone.
idreamiwasatiger wasn’t paul.
he’s trying to get producer work, and I know he’s been swapping Pro-Tool sessions with Duane Denison [Jesus Lizard, Tomahawk], who’s in Tennessee or whatever. They’re swapping ideas or working on something
I would love to see this materialize.
thanx for the interview [cool]
