[reply]I think Afra should change the name of this forum to Schlongs.org.

And Ministry? More like Penistry![/reply]

Ha ha ha!!

i’m still around. I look, I just don’t always log in.
Awesomeness has its price to pay, and I dont always have lots of free time.
I had been meaning to post up a scan of a December Chicago Time Out article about Chris Connelly and his latest release http://timeoutchicago.com/music-nightlife/music/15045515/chris-connelly-at-hideout-concert-preview-and-interview.
Some one {i don’t know who} paid for me to have a subscription after I got back from the retrospectacle. It was a nice surprise despite getting it a few days off since I’m on the West Coast.

Someday I’ll scan and upload that Ministry press book.

Good article.

Thanks, filthpig.

As far as this place being a sausage fest, you guys are in luck. If I ever decide to shave my beard, you guys will wing that it’s the only thing keeping me from being a pretty girl.

chicks don’t usually post on message boards. internet used to be a guys only hangout (those were the days), and oftentimes they just create drama, either between one another or even us guys. chicks would rather hang out on facebook than a dinky old message board. that’s just how it is.

I’m not trying to come off as a misogynist, but most music nerds like us (myself included) aren’t exactly chick magnets. women are social creatures, and aren’t exactly comfortable with the anonymity that message boards provide.

If this was a Justin Beiber forum I am sure there would be plenty of girls on here.

Yep. And better music too.

I dont get why grindmonkey thinks what he’s posted. And esp. to mention all that shit as if it were to be authoritative, considering that I’ve definitely seen more drama among the male users of prongs.

Its really stupid to write “not trying to come off as a misogynist” after stating ‘those were the days’.

^This is another reason why I tend not to post so much on here.

I’m incredibly antisocial [to a psychotic destructive extent] offline and on. but I’m registered and post on a handful of band related forums, along with many other non-males.
Its not about magnetism. I’m not here to meet people or get along. Its about the content and whats going on with what the forum is about [in this case Ministry/Revco/and the other efforts that have resulted].

Sorry [blush]

I think you were in your right grmpy. And if anything you deserve madprops for your dedication to what you did. I got a kick out of seeing it in those posts, no joke.

But theres been other prongs sausage drama.
But lord forbid a chick start drama amongst us all!!!

Fuck that guy.

Thanks lady!

I never said it didn’t happen, it does. and yes grmpysmrf, there would be. I don’t know if such a thing exists. and if it does, its probably also populated by closet pedos.

FP, I think the Time Out Chicago mag subscription was a result of our FIX tix purchase because I receive it also.

I read Prongs when I have time.

I work mostly with ugly smart dudes who are elitists.
and
I don’t think like a chick.

Good to know about the Time Out subscription, as not figuring it out was bugging me, but ahh that last part up there, made me cringe, WHY mooney why??!!

and
I don’t think like a chick.

So, you just think about sex and fucking a lot do ya?

smrfy, if you only knew what I think about. [:P]

To debunk grindmonkey’s myth, my msg board history goes back twenty years.

Mostly science, one would imagine. The lady is smarter than anyone here, and shouldn’t be bothered with the ramblings of some schmuck who is too dumb to realize he’s being sexist against his own kind.

I don’t think the internet is really a “dude” thing but I do think there are certain generalities that can be observed and noted with respect to how women and men approach boards differently . . . .

Women tend to be more social and are a bit more interested in making relationships and friends on boards such as these. They’re supportive of each other and are generally more tolerant of dissenting opinions. Their appreciation of various art forms tend to be founded more in a respect and admiration of the works and their impact as a whole, instead of dissecting it and picking it apart like some CSI crime technician and painstakingly deciding whether or not something is “cool” or not.

Dudes tend to have something to prove. Instead of taking advantage of the social aspects of a board and creating and strengthening relationships they seem more apt to whip out their e-schlongs and start swinging. They geek out on stuff and seem to keep tally of street points based on how many stupid limited edition bootlegs they have or by how much minutae they know about a particular topic.

In my experience BOTH sexes have potential to be retarded and emo, but I probably identify more with the women because I just can’t be bothered anymore with learning the backstory on anything or determining what’s cool or hip or whatever.

Also, I have a vagina, so that probably also helps me relate to women.

Take for example, this random post, that I found, that some retard, that has no ability to understand a joke, wrote …

Now if we could track this guy down and teach him how to state the obvious he could be mayor of the internet. I hear mayor comes with its own handicapped parking spot, that is if he can get himself dressed.

If some girls started a public forum about girl things (purses and shoes) it would only be a matter of minutes before it was overrun with gay guys and/or straight guys who wanted to have chat sex with them.

That forum already exists, it has a boat load of members, it is heavily policed, and the multi-mods are very very quick with the ban hammer for even the slightest infraction.

As for the males: It consists mainly husbands who are searching for a specific, difficult-to-find/what size should I buy? item for their wife or gay/straight men who have to maintain a professional image.

LOL that it exists. And LOL that you know the details of it.[/reply]

Hey, I know where your future sugar momma resides, and you’re are laughing at me? You should be asking me the name of the forum.
