Probably get Conspiracy flames for this

Anybody else think McCain is setting Barack Obama up to be killed? He keeps urging Obama to go to the Middle East and now that Obama is going, McCain is almost Giddy. (terrorrists could strike anywhere ya know!!!)

Why would McCain want Obama to go to Afghanistan so badly and why would McCain be so happy that he is going now? How does Obama going to Afghanistan help McCain? (IE This is nothing for McCain to be happy about. This will make them equals as far as field trips to the war zone and McCain will be losing the talking point of, “Barack has never been to see the troops”)

McCain stands to gain NO ground on him and really only serves to look even worse in the eyes of the public especially if Barack comes back and says “My pull out plan is still on and McCain has been embelishing some truths about the picture on the ground”

Just some thoughts…Flame Away!

Hell, you might be right. Man, Johnny Boy’s probably doing the victory dance right now, cackling as his plot for world domination slowly becomes a terrifying reality.

“MWAHAHAHAAAAAH!”

mccain is clueless.
but there’s no conspiracy, he’s simply grasping for something, anything to throw at obama. obama has no skeletons in the closet. mccain’s got tons of scandals with fundraising, with his cosmetically corrected wife’s interests in the beer industry, etc.
my favorite example of political speak came yesterday via your esteemed president and fearless leader:" time horizon". this was his idea of getting troops out of iraq. is this somehow different from a “timeline”?, which the republicans have avoided like poison.
looking graphically at this idea, what does a timeline look like? now, what does a time “horizon” look like. these people are nuts.

heard that, senor carmangary. thanks.

I really hate election year. It’s always a mindless showcase of grown adults acting like children towards each other. Their campaigns just makes me hate these people more. They’d be better off just putting their policies on paper (online), ignoring the other guy, and letting us decide that way. Seeing their car salesman personalities on TV and hearing their bullshit babbling (that they probably didn’t write) just makes me not want to vote. That said, I’m voting for Obama, and I have my reasons. I just wish these tool politicians would shut the fuck up and stop with the fake fucking tennis matches. The older I get, the less I seem to care about politics, sadly. As long as my right to listen to music and get a juicy burger once in a while isn’t ever taken away, I think I’ll be able to get by in this life.

Awesome avatar 1002!! I really don’t think that Mccain is setting Obama up for some kind of accident remember this is the man that the Democrats implored to change parties and run with Kerry last time around. It does seem like some sort of kdesperate ploy though.

Yeah, I don’t either. BUT you know how you get fleeting thoughts now and again that you sometimes give voice to… Well, here we are!

As far as McCain being a running mate with Kerry, That shows just how right of center this country is! When a complete and utter conservative is entertained, in some thoughts, as “liberal enough” to be considered running on a democratic ticket?? Get a clue Country!

They’d be better off just putting their policies on paper (online), ignoring the other guy, and letting us decide that way.

That is probably the best most practical idea I’ve heard in a long time. Hat tip to you sir!

I see your point grmpy, which is why we need other viable options than this two party system which has more or less become two sides of the same coin. What that would be I am not sure. Someone said to me the other day that if we had three major political parties then it would mean that only a third of the country would be deciding for the other two who would become president. I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing in their face. Hey even a majority vote isn’t a shoe-in [;)]
