Cute. I thought it was funny. I’m actually about to unlike PR cuz I don’t wanna be associated with it in any way anymore. Kniker needs to release the single already if he wants my support.
Is this really the 3rd time I’ve brought this thread back from obscurity? Anyways, I just saw on Facebook that their putting out something called “Long In The Tooth” very soon. I dunno if this is the single Kniker has been hyping for months, or if it’s an EP, or even an LP. Either way, this will be available on vinyl, CD and digital formats.
I’m still taking this with a grain of salt though…
And moreover, I like how “5+ years” is his yardstick. As if that’s fucking reasonable.
Yes, the way it’s worded there, he makes it seem as if audiences actually have no problem with a ‘Chinese Democracy’-level of stalling, re-assessment, extra-curricular drama etc. As if these types of projects aren’t freakish exceptions to acceptable timelines for project completion.
I don’t believe in ‘forcing’ the muse, and plenty of respected works took decades to come to fruition (Wagner’s ‘Ring Cycle’ took 26 years merely to write.) But come on, I highly doubt this project is going to be of such an exceptional level that, if / when people hear the final product, they’re gonna be comparing it to finely aged wine.
