Someone was trying to sell me on these guys and I said the same (but still haven’t heard ANY of their music).

I just don’t have any interest in a band called Power Trip.
I’d have to hear them by accident for them to have any chance of me giving a shit.

Funny. Went to see Napalm Death last night and their new guitarist had a Power Trip shirt on.

I’ve honestly heard nothing but good stuff about them, but as soon as I hear or read their name I just visualize some shitty flier penciled up on notebook paper with some crazy metal dude holding onto jumper cables or something, with lightning bolts shooting all around (they should really hire me for this) drawn up by some 14 year old burnout during 3rd Period History.

I don’t really care to give any effort to a band that seemingly hasn’t graduated from High School. I’m afraid they’re gonna pass around a hat asking us all to pitch in to fill up the keg.

When I first heard the name I assumed they’d named themselves after the Monster Magnet album. But they’re not very similar musically, so I doubt it.

So… no, still don’t want to listen.

Yeah Monster Magnet used that as an album title 20 years ago…not the best MM album but definitely their most successful…saw them on that tour…they were great…

I dig these guys. They have gotten a lot of buzz lately (hence the Revolver cover). I do see the Ministry resemblance as their riffs sound just like something Mikey would have penned.
