Damn you got a sweet looking pad brother.
Late,

It’s not my pad. It’s just a picture of a tv similar to mine. But my place looks good too, in a more modest way
I looked at TV’s recently. I picked up a plasma Panasonic GT-30 50"
Plasma is the way to go if you’re looking for a 42" to 65" TV. Panasonic gets excellent reviews
LED is a good choice for any TV’s under 42" (exception is Pioneer but it will cost ya)
LCD if you go with 120kz…any size works. Samsung is popular.
I have a 7.2 home theater setup & started watching 3D movies…it’s pretty cool…different. You gotta stay focused…sometimes hard when you’re home. I felt a little eye strain too.
That Panasonic looks sick. Bet it costs a fortune though!
Well I ended up purchasing an LG LED 42". Really wanted a plasma but couldn’t find a good deal. Maybe next time.
I really loved my 47" LG until the burglars took it. Didn’t ever do that thing where everything looks shitty like a soap opera. I know a bunch of people with Sanyos or samsungs or whatever, and everything just looked like garbage.
you mentioned you’d be gaming on your new tv, so imho it’s good you did not go with plasma. in my experience, they are far more susceptible to image burn in than anything thing else on the market. a friend of mine has the energy bars from marvel vs capcom burned into his tv now and it pisses him the hell off.
What was the tv you were replacing? i’d be interested in your impressions if you are going from plasma to LED. I have a new LED backlit monitor on the way, and I am going from a standard backlit LCD.
1200.00 total…no tax & free delivery [tongue]

I had a old small crappy Vizio LCD that I didnt want anymore and gave to my mom since I was planning on buying a new one. I hear Burn In is not really an issue these days, I was never worried about ithat. Maybe your friends plasma was an old model.
I also bought a new Monitor a few weeks ago, an LED Acer. It looks great and really thin. You can score some good deals at Newegg.com
