Piss Army

So I made a post in respect to Paul Raven’s death…
it got pulled.

I followed that up with a post stating that though I did not wish to be banned, it seemed to me that any mentions of Raven were forbidden, any mentions of Barker were expected to be kept to brief unexceptional mention, and that there seemed to be definite lines that PA felt were being crossed when things of this nature were brought up (I would assume Connely and numerous other former Ministry involved persons would fall under this as well). I felt that rather than having invisible lines, they might as well state what the lines are so that people are aware of them.

Well, that post in itself apparently crossed a line and was deleted not even a half hour after I had posted it.

“but, just TRY to post anything negative on the NIN fansite about the music and your post will be deleted. … The NIN moderators get to “pick and choose” what gets “posted” from fans.” - mrsjay

ha.

haha, completely forgot about her saying that. nin fansites aren’t censored as far as i know, and official nin.com doesn’t even have a forum. the spiral may have one.

Did you not think?

Had it not occurred to you that so soon after the guy’s death it was unsubtle for the people that loved him? What about the family members and close friends that had yet to be told the sad news, do you think they would find the shock more bearable to come from friends or through reading it on an internet forum?

There were two sources I counted on before figuring things were a clear. One, was something issued from the killing joke camp, second was Afra’s own comment.

From KJ, and then Afra voicing his own statements that he felt nothing should be said until KJ or parties similar voiced things publically (and his decision to try to adhere to such); I figured things were a clear.

Actually, it was announced by not only bands he was part of, but also the media (and even Wikipedia had a blurb), before posts were made here about it, and the PA.

It was put up on here for 10 minutes and then I realized it wasn’t officially announced. I took it down and that was it. No mention otherwise. I only announced it once it was announced by KJ members. This was only a few hours after I had originally put it up.

Was also being discussed on forums throughout…

Yoko’s comment about the NIN forums is BS. Albums leaked and they never got deleted. Only thing that I can recall is something personal posted like the pic of trent and his grandfather in the audience of the price is right. And that was only deleted because trent wanted his family privacy, sounds pretty reasonable compared to an album leaking, people are commenting…delete. Band member dies, it’s confirmed, people show their sympathies…delete. There’s more censorship on PA than any other forum i’ve ever been on, and I stand by that fact.

Trent also leaked songs himself and he openly encourages downloading of his stuff so yeah, I don’t think he would actively delete those posts…

Sigh…another thread about the PA…didja have to make another one?
There is already a thread discussing Prongs contempt for the PA, do we really need two?

No-one’s bashing the PA - a PA user just posted saying how his posts were removed, that’s all.

There isn’t a bash on here against PA members or the forum as a whole. Just confusion, I suppose.

The other thread died down in a couple of days and nothing was mentioned of that again… Believe me, I don’t want this place to be a “I hate PA” forum as most don’t.

If anyone is discussing the PA and how upset they are by it, it’s not prongs members - it’s PA members!

can’t we all just get along?
