Damn you Obama!
/nah, not really. It was getting shitty before that.
That’s lame.
With Sympathy – Republican. CRAP (yeah, yeah, flame on, girly girls)
Rio Grande – Republican. CRAP
Last Sucker – Republican. CRAP
Cover Up – Republican. CRAP
Unless we count all the stupid remixxx albums he’s done lately, where are these shit albums under the Democrat regimes.
FilthPig? Awesome.
Dark Side? Awesome.
Sure, it’s ALL crap now, but it TURNED to shit during Bush’s reign, not Obama’s.
Whatever.
You forgot something Gunnar
Twitch- Republican. Sweet
LORAH- Republican. Masterpiece
TMIATTTT- Republican. Awesome
Psalm 69- Republican. Platinum
Animositisomnia- Republican. Last great album
HOTM- Republican. Last decent album
Should we count RevCo and the other side projects? Not everything Al’s been involved in during a republican being in office has been crap
In 2012, I’m (almost definitely) voting for 4 more years of terrible Al Jourgensen music!
Oh, yeah, Eureka! I know.
I just wanted to list the crap. But yeah, I’m well aware of the awesome albums.
I’m just saying that his MISSES have been mostly of Republican era, as far as I’m concerned, unless you count every stupid remix album and RamCo bullcrap that got released in the last 45 minutes.
When he said that it was true, from the perspective of the common fan. I mean, I love Flith Pig, and a lot of people here love DSOTS for some reason, but the general public hated them both.
Psalm 69 is contestable since it was also the beginning of the Clinton admin. I actually prefer filth pig over 69… But that statement about having only good albums during republican years is just ridiculous since just about everything post-2004 sucked balls (bush/republican years).
1992 was an election year.
Clinton wasn’t actually in office yet.

Yes. Plus back then Al would take over a year to get an album out . . . . now he just cranks them out between commercial breaks while watching “Matlock”.
Haha matlock. He still took more than a year to get an album out though. Well except for Animositisomnia and HOTM. But there was a 2 year gap between HOTM and RGB. Then another 2 year gap between RGB and TLS. I think there were even 2 year gaps between the last couple of RevCo albums. But yeah not enough time was spent. I guess he just wanted to be consistent. Epic fail

I hated them both at first, but they’ve both grown to be my favorite Ministry albums. It’s like Ministry at it’s darkest & dirtiest. Now I can’t see how anyone doesn’t LOVE those albums.

Me too. I think a lot of us here are on that boat.
I liked Filth Pig right away, but “Spoon” took a while to get acclimated to. I’m not as passionate about it as some, but there are some tracks on it that, in my opinion, are just some of Ministry’s finest moments (“Whip and Chain”, for example).
I like Filth Pig much more than Spoon, but songs like Eureka Pile are kick ass. Rey Washhem was a great addition and is probably my favorite Ministry drummer.
DSotS is my favorite album, followed by Filth Pig and Twitch.
I just thought of a great idea for a thread.
Filth Pig much more than DSOTS. I like DSOTS too though. Maybe Al just rushed those albums too much. In the 90s, there were literially 3-4 year gaps between those albums. So maybe he did want to be a bit more on the consistent side since he got clean. Maybe quantity over quality. The music became poor until eventually just turning into a joke.
