My new album “pentland firth howl” should be available May 26th, the CD is available on Busted Flat records, the very limited edition Vinyl release is on Adenda, there are 300 only and it’s on high quality 140 gramme vinyl, Reckless will have it on the site, or contact the labels!
You’re grinding these things out. What are you, Frank Zappa?
connelly, you hangin’ out in baton rouge or what?
Cool as hell. I’ll be on the lookout.
I am interested in this new release only if it imparts upon me, the listener, a sense of spatial awareness in an abstract medium and if it sets about to question the very nature and definition of music as an expression and a quantum constant relative to any given position in the macrocosm - without providing definitive, restricted constraintive quasi answers.
If it instills upon me a greater appreciation for minimalism in the true sense - indeed the only sense, as did LaMonte Young, Terry Riley and John Cage before you - then consider me there.

I think you’re out of luck, Peligro.
I hear Chris is going for a new direction on this one, sort of a cross between Lulu, Violent Femmes, and Steve Perry’s solo work.
Yeeeaaah…
not so much.
Cool name for the album…kind of reminds me of James Yorkston’s recent album which was called “When The Haar Rolls In”…I’m sure you’ll know what that means Chris.
Anyway does this album have just a tiny bit of a Joan As Policewoman influence???
I’ll look at picking up the vinyl for the name alone.
i’m inclined to think chris was inspired by this:
“A thousand perfect men and women appear,
Around each gathers a cluster of friends, and gay children and youths,
with offerings.”
(By the Roadside—Walt Whitman, from Leaves of Grass)
but what do i know, being so special ed and shit…
The Vinyl version will come with a download coupon, you can get a digital copy from my site.
It’s an intimate affair, inspired more by bodies of water like the Pentland Firth, islands like Fidra and timeless landscapes where I used to walk, oh, there’s a song about blackouts (not the band) called “wide eyed and legless” written by a welshman
there ye are!

I really think this is the way to go with all vinyl releases. If I can I only buy vinyl. I feel kind of violated actually If I have to buy cd. Lot’s of the 12"s and LP’s I buy nowadays have the download coupon inserted which is great and really is a top-notch way to keep vinyl alive and kicking.
