Referring to ALL black people as baboons is racist, referring to one black person as a baboon IS racist if your only comparing because of skin color.
In this particular case I don’t think anyone had skin color in mind. Furthermore, I think that “Baboon” was being synonymously used for gorilla(which they are not) Not all black people look like Baboons, chimps, orangutans, and any other primate I have forgotten… Hell, not all people look like animals period but some do! case in point… Barry Manillow and Barbara Streisand look like Toucans, is that racist cause I’m comparing them to animals? No! They just look like fuckin’ birds!!!
It’s unfortunate that said lady looks like a gorilla but not racist. For someone to assume that saying said woman(probably more sexist than racist than anything since we all assumed she was a man) looks like a Gorilla/Baboon is a racist statement says a lot more about the person making the racism charge than it does about the person that made the gorilla statement. Apparently the racism finger pointers can’t see past her blackness to see that her facial structure truly resembles that of a gorilla. Color has nothing to do with it.
